Because the other party is afraid of being accused of faults, this matter should not be asked, and it is not appropriate to prophesy some details of the answer, they say. The part starting with "for example" acknowledges some basis that appears as form, etc., and summarizes them through impermanence, sameness, or difference. When asked what they are, or when any one of them should be prophesied, they do not show it that way, and it should not be shown, but they establish such a sect. Fabrication is samsara. From "characteristic" it is a characteristic. Merit is the sweetness of milk and the whiteness of conch shells, etc. Seeing is the object of seeing. A yogi is calm abiding or a person with it. Those who are prophesied are those who should be shown as before. What is not prophesied means that it has not been shown that way, and the Blessed One said that it should not be shown, the unwise ones say. The part starting with "person" refutes it, and its meaning is that if the sentient beings of the listeners do not have wisdom, they will be afraid when some characteristics are prophesied, so in order to avoid the state of fear. The Tathagata proclaimed that those characteristics of people that should not be prophesied are not prophesied. Those ignorant people mistakenly think that the Tathagata has completely not prophesied, and should not prophesy. The Tathagata said that those should be prophesied in order to destroy the wrong view that the heretics think that way, not that they should not be prophesied. The meaning of these scriptures should be stirred up a little to understand. What is the wrong view of the heretics? The part starting with "great wisdom" proclaims that the naked heretics say, "Gathering and growth, life is the measure of the body." etc., their meaning is that life is the possessor of permanent, unique, etc. qualities, equal to the measure of the body, and dwells in the body. If so, when asked whether the body and life are one or different, if it is admitted to be one, then just as the body is impermanent, so is life.
