It is for the sake of realizing. These should also be applied as answers to questions such as "By what does it become the order of the earth?" Then, starting with "again," etc., it is to eliminate the previous refutation of the meaning of dependent origination. The meaning of the question is that, in this way, having explained dependent origination, although it shows that cause and effect are real, it does not, in the manner of all phenomena being unborn, the profound principle of the Tathagata, turn sentient beings with characteristics away from perversion, nor does it utter words that grasp the profound principle of oneself. Therefore, there is no difference from the outsiders, and some will fall into the extreme of addition, and some will fall into the extreme of slander, thinking that the Blessed One has declared that cause and effect are truly existent in the ultimate truth, but has not shown the doctrine of illusion-like nature, and the truly existent ultimate truth is also harmed by the measure previously stated, which is unreasonable, and also has not declared the doctrine of illusion-like nature, so it will become only the aspect of declaring no cause and no effect, and doubts arise. Furthermore, the meaning of the words of dependent origination, "This being, that arises," is only to state explicitly, so it is suitable for things that exist simultaneously like an umbrella and a shadow, but not suitable for things that arise sequentially. Because when this cause exists, the effect has not yet arisen, so it is unreasonable to say "this"; when the effect arises, the cause has ceased, so it is unreasonable to say "this." Therefore, the statement of the non-Buddhists is better, because the Samkhyas believe that the effect already exists from the beginning, and it is the very nature of the cause that is transformed and arises, so "This being, that arises" is reasonable, but it is not reasonable for your side. The so-called "cause that is not dependent origination manifests the effect" refers to the chief and Ishvara, etc., which are not born from cause, but are eternally existent, and it is believed that the effect arises from them. Furthermore, it is also admitted that the effect has become the nature of the cause, and it already exists from the beginning, but it is only transformed from being unclear to being clear. Furthermore, in the case of different entities at the same time, it will also become the search for cause and effect, therefore, the distinction between cause and effect cannot be determined. Again, admitting that dependent origination is multiple continuums

Furthermore, as previously stated, due to mutual dependence, saying "cause and condition are also mixed" means mixed with the result, that is, they themselves also become the result. Similarly, the result also becomes the cause of other results, and the designation of cause is established in relation to its own result. And its becoming a result also depends on the cause. That result must also be acknowledged as the cause of other results, and the designation of cause is established in relation to the establishment of its own result. And its establishment also depends on the sixth cause, so mutual dependence is without end. Therefore, saying "this exists, therefore that exists" is the reality of dependent origination, and in reality becomes a negation of it. The meaning of the answer is that our dependent origination is merely the appearance of one's own mind in the conventional, and in the ultimate it is not established as the nature of mind. Because these causes and conditions are merely regarded as illusion-like, although it is said "this exists, therefore that exists," it is not like the non-Buddhists and others who say that cause and agent are ultimately real. In the conventional, because the sequel of anything will inevitably appear as cause and result not being mixed, therefore the fault of cause, condition, and result being mixed, becoming mutually seeking, does not exist. Therefore, one will not fall into the extreme of nihilism. When examining in the ultimate, because of being associated with such faults and so on, one does not acknowledge cause and result as real entities. Becoming two extremes like this is reasonable either by acknowledging external objects as real, or by acknowledging mind itself as a real entity. But my school is not like that. With "Great Wisdom also asks," etc., it is to avoid arguing about the meaning of no self-nature. Because some non-Buddhists enter by the power of sound as a real thing, so there is such an expression, and there is also a meaning to be expressed. If that is the case, then does "there are sugarcane carts crushing on the riverbank," etc., refer to empty sounds? Indeed. Expressing linguistic sounds related to place and time like that is a delusion about what one wants to express. However, the sound of the nature of words, the place and time of...
