Therefore, those with inverted wisdom, the wisdom of the noble ones, will cease in the state of Buddhahood or in the realm of nirvana without remainder. The reason for this is that the Vajra-like Samadhi realizes that all phenomena of characteristics such as existence and non-existence are emptiness, because the object to be known does not exist even in the true conventional truth, so the wisdom that knows it is unreasonable. It is said: All phenomena of wandering are of name and consciousness, and are considered to be the firewood of fire. Those who truly distinguish them are burned by fire and tend to be extinguished. It is said so. For example, just as fire is produced from rubbing two pieces of wood and burns the wood itself, from the antidote Vajra-like Samadhi, the fire of the wisdom of the Dharmakaya temporarily arises, burning all phenomena of characteristics, and because it is unattainable, the wisdom that cognizes it also ceases. In another case, relying on the antidote before the Vajra-like Samadhi, the fire of wisdom gathered by the Vajra-like Samadhi burns the firewood of characteristics, and after that, no other stream of wisdom arises. It is also said in the scriptures: When things and non-things are not present before the mind, then there is no other aspect, and it is completely pacified without an object of focus. It is said so. Furthermore, if the wisdom of the Buddha has a continuum, then it itself will become confused. Thus, it is unreasonable for it to be a knowledge that does not know itself or others. If they admit to knowing them, if they admit that the subsequent wisdom is the appearance of the Rupakaya and the Buddha-field, then why would it not become a confused mind, since those objects of appearance do not exist as external objects, but appear? If it is said that it will become a fault, so they do not admit the subsequent wisdom, but only abide in the Samadhi of self-awareness, then even so, why would it not become confused, since the nature of what is to be known does not exist in the ultimate truth, but is known and appears? It is the same as the previous examination. Therefore, the wisdom of the Buddha is unreasonable, if it is said so, this is not reasonable, that

The wisdom of equipoise, which is encompassed by the path of seeing, also realizes that all characteristics of phenomena, such as existence and non-existence, are emptiness. Therefore, the meaning of that wisdom, the characteristics of the objects to be focused on, do not exist even in conventional truth. Because of this, the wisdom that focuses on them will cease from that very moment. If it is said that although those characteristic phenomena do not exist, the absence of characteristics is to be known individually by oneself, and that the meaning of the union of knowledge and emptiness abides in conventional truth, therefore it is not reasonable for the wisdom of knowing that to cease, then this is the same as knowing a later state. Furthermore, in the wisdom of subsequent attainment, the appearance of the form body and so on, although there are no external objects, it appears as external objects, so if you apply it as a reason, then this reason will become unestablished. If you ask, how does it appear? There are no external objects, and the mind itself appears as such. It also appears and realizes as the emptiness of true objects, so how can it be mistaken when it appears according to how things are known? Think like this. Here, if you only put the appearance of form and so on as a reason, then the pervasion will not be established. Similarly, the self-nature of wisdom does not exist in the ultimate sense, but conversely, if you apply it as a reason because it appears to exist, then it will not be established. Only knowing and experiencing that there is nothing in the ultimate sense, but without interruption, it appears and knows as the nature of the union of knowledge and emptiness, so if you put it as a reason, then this reason will be contradictory. It appears in accordance with how things are known, because it is pervaded by the dharma that contradicts delusion. In general, even if you only give such appearance and cognition as a reason, the pervasion will not be established. Furthermore, saying this seems to contradict the old sutras.
