And, how the views of permanence and annihilation arise and do not change. The question posed by these words is to extensively explain the refutation of the four extremes. The so-called "characteristic of distinguishing realization" is that realization itself is distinguished, that the clinging to extremes such as existence and non-existence of the object of realization as it is, is abandoned, therefore the conceptualization of non-Buddhists does not operate. That the noble ones know with their own wisdom, etc., should be added to this. Among them, one and different refer to some non-Buddhists who believe that all things are one in nature, but different in state, or that the substance of the limbs is one, but the limbs are different, etc. Therefore, both and neither should also be related to these views for understanding. In addition, some of our own schools believe that atoms and moments are each one, and that multiple gatherings are different, etc. The meaning of "also not existent" is that the Mind-Only school of non-Buddhists believes that consciousness is not existent as an object of both grasper and grasped, nor is it a non-dual permanent entity, etc. In short, for all views that assert the aspect of things, these views will follow. All of these are also called non-Buddhists, which will be explained below. The so-called "characteristic of limitless realm, spontaneously accomplished" means that the wisdom and ability that truly know and freely control these are spontaneously accomplished. The rest is easy to understand. Benefit and happiness are the actions of loving-kindness. Gods and humans are endowed with leisure and perfect support, therefore, doing benefit and happiness to them will become the benefit of most beings. The so-called "Gandharva city, also not a Gandharva city" refers to the nature of mere appearance, which is established as the nature of mind in conventional truth. The so-called "remembering the precious city" means that they regard the things of those cities as the same as what they have seen before, and also remember the things they have not seen before in a real way. "Annihilationist" refers to what is said by those who abide in the view of annihilation. To clarify this, it is "saying unborn," etc. The so-called "seeing and not seeing" refers to seeing due to sensory impairment.

Regarding "existing in the nature of mind" and so on. Mahamati, also "three valid cognitions" and so on, namely, those Mind-Only proponents who consider direct perception, inference, and trustworthy scripture as valid cognitions, separately distinguish and establish the branches that determine meaning. Relying on these, the wisdom that each noble one can realize for themselves, or rather, the kind of wisdom that is inherently luminous in the nature of mind that all sentient beings possess, is established through self-cognizing direct perception. Or, merely the consciousness of the nature of awareness is established through experiential valid cognition. Because there exists a valid cognition that harms its being the nature of both grasper and grasped, therefore, Acharya Konchok Bang said that non-dual self-cognition is the ultimate reality. Or, as previously stated, through reasoning such as "simultaneous appearance is definite," the nature of consciousness that is non-dual is established in the ultimate sense, and because the scriptures also declare it in this way, therefore, such a reality exists. The so-called "concept of reality and non-reality" is because consciousness is non-dual, so it is real, while the grasper and grasped, etc., do not exist. The so-called "it will become clinging to the master of those things" and so on, if the nature exists, then it will not become non-existent. As previously stated, according to this reasoning, it relies and abides in the eternally existing nature, therefore it must be admitted that consciousness is merely the nature of awareness, which is permanent, etc. If that is the case, then does it contradict the declaration that consciousness and external objects, etc., exist? If that is the case, then such a declaration is made by the emanation body Buddha in order to delude sentient beings, and it is a guiding meaning. That is not the Buddha of Dharma-nature, nor the Buddha of Samadhi, i.e., the declaration of the Sambhogakaya. Thus, establishing internal and external phenomena is unspeakable, and this phrase should be connected to the following words. Who is unspeakable? The Dharma of the nature of awareness, the Sambhogakaya and Dharmakaya Buddhas who abide in the bliss of Samadhi that each noble one realizes for themselves are unspeakable. The detailed meaning of this has been explained before. Mahamati, etc., using the category of examples,
