It belongs to the realm or place of transformation. From the perspective of ignorance, other than the three places of birth in the desire realm, the grounds are not the same. It does not belong to the realm and place where one will be born. That is, if one transmigrates from the desire realm and is born as a deity of the first dhyana, then the karma that accomplishes such a body is the third uninterrupted path of abandoning desire in the desire realm. The ignorance that arouses it is not included in the ground of the first dhyana, because the lower realm has not separated from the desire realm's desire, and it is unreasonable for the afflictions of the upper realm to manifest and arise from its cause. Even if it has been separated, since the uninterrupted path of abandoning it has already preceded it, it is unreasonable for the ignorance included in the ground of the first dhyana that follows to arouse the previous karma. Because the future will become the cause. Therefore, the ignorance that arouses such karma belongs to the desire realm itself. Similarly, the manner of all those who will be born from above to above up to the peak of existence should also be understood. Also, because of being born in one's own place, that is, the karma of transmigrating from the first dhyana and being born as the first itself, is the very ground where the desire realm was not previously equally established. The karma of accomplishing many bodies with one karma is to meditate on the aspects of tranquility and roughness. It is the very uninterrupted path of abandoning desire in the desire realm. The ignorance that arouses it also belongs to the desire realm. It is not the later arising that belongs to the ground of dhyana, because the future will become the cause. Here, without such karma, it is unreasonable to transmigrate from the first dhyana and be born again as a deity of the first. Because without meditating on the aspects of tranquility and roughness, it is impossible to be born there. Even meditating in that way is unreasonable. Because there is no need to contemplate the desire realm as rough and the first dhyana as tranquil. Because having meditated in that way before, one has already attained the first dhyana itself. Meditating on the aspects of tranquility and roughness on the first itself is contradictory. If one contemplates it as rough, and contemplates the second dhyana and above as tranquil, then it is impossible to be born as a deity of the first dhyana, so like before, it relies on the desire realm.

Likewise, all beings born in their respective places up to the peak of existence should also be observed. Furthermore, considering rebirth in lower realms, when one transmigrates from the second dhyana and is born in the first Brahma heaven, the karma that brings about such a body is the old karma of meditating on the aspects of tranquility and coarseness, based on the ground of not having been in meditative equipoise in the past. Therefore, the ignorance that gives rise to all of that is also included in that ground. Similarly, it is extremely unreasonable to say that all the ways of being born downwards from the peak of existence to the first dhyana should be observed. In general, it is not necessarily the case that the virtuous karma with outflows that leads to birth in those realms of happy migrations, or especially the unwavering karma, is caused by ignorance alone. As explained earlier, it can also arise through wisdom, faith, and other means. Even if it arises from ignorance in that way, the karma that brings about the body of the first dhyana is the dhyana of causal meditative absorption, that is, the unwavering karma of the samadhi of the first dhyana. However, merely abiding for two or three moments, etc., at the end of time, there is no point in designating it as dhyana, because its nature is the abiding of the mind in one-pointedness. Otherwise, even the mind in meditative equipoise would become dhyana, because the one-pointedness of focusing on the object for two or three moments, etc., is also present in those. Afterwards, when one enters into such dhyana for as long as appropriate, and then transmigrates at the end of life and directly attains the body of the first dhyana, there is no contradiction in the fact that the ignorance belonging to that ground is what causes the unwavering karma of the previous dhyana to arise. This is merely said with the thought that one immediately passes away after attaining dhyana. Similarly, the karma of being born in the first dhyana after dying from the first dhyana is not the karma accumulated in the past on the ground of not having been in meditative equipoise, with one karma not having accomplished a body, because it has ceased and disappeared at the time of the fruit's arising, so it is unreasonable to be the cause. Otherwise, things that have passed away would become causes, and if that were the case, then establishing the alaya-vijnana would also be meani
