Even without clinging to names, if one clings to the characteristics of these dharmas, such clinging pervades clinging to the nature of characteristics. If it is said that becoming its own nature is an unreasonable distinction, then there is no fault. Even if there is no term for the nature of characteristics, in reality, one clings to and understands it as it is. For example, when a fool clings to and understands the nature of a cow's substance, although there is no term for the nature of having a tail, etc., and there is no clinging, one understands and clings to the meaning in this way. Similarly, clinging to names is also clinging in conjunction with meaning. Because one does not cling to names unrelated to meaning, it is reasonable to distinguish clinging to the nature of characteristics. The so-called "Great Wisdom" refers to the nature of becoming the self of clinging to the nature of characteristics, and the object of clinging to the characteristics of name and substance, as mentioned earlier, are the two natures of the completely imputed nature. Such a completely imputed nature is a completely imputed nature that fully understands the nature, so it should not arise from characteristics. Arising from characteristics, as mentioned earlier, is the completely imputed nature of nomenclature. In another case, the so-called "that is" refers to clinging to the characteristics of substance. The nature of the completely imputed nature, as mentioned earlier, is the second, that is, the second in number. The so-called "abiding therein and arising from the object" refers to abiding in the object of clinging of the completely imputed nature of nomenclature and arising from the previous consciousness. Therefore, the later consciousness that appears in this way is the nature of other-dependence. The nature of the perfectly established is the object of wisdom of the noble ones themselves, the dharmata of wisdom itself becoming its own nature, the unchanging perfectly established. In this way, the part of reason understood in a reversed way is also the perfectly established. Because it is established as such, it is true and established as such, it is called the perfectly established. Furthermore, if we consider it from the perspective of the Mind-Only Madhyamaka here, whether it is the completely imputed or something else, the nature of mind itself depends on the previous kind of consciousness, and arises like an illusion.

The dependent nature is like a child, and the meaning of imputing and clinging with a discriminating mind to the existence or non-existence of that very thing is the thoroughly imputed nature. The dependent nature, which is empty of the meaning of such clinging and imputation, and the dual application of reason and emptiness is the thoroughly established nature. The reversion of the realm of reality and wisdom, in order, is immutable, and the thoroughly established nature that is not inverted, as stated in the Differentiation of the Middle and Extremes. The dependent nature is also impure and completely pure, and is divided into two types, encompassing all defilements and complete purification. The thoroughly imputed nature, as before, is completely devoid of characteristics, and is the thoroughly imputed nature of names and relations. For example, it is said: "Looking at the existing moon, this is only non-existence." Or, length and shortness, etc., are imputed by the mind due to mutual dependence. As it is said: "The nature of characteristics, names, and relative thoroughly imputed nature are of three types." Those three natures also show that the five dharmas are summarized by way of verses. Among them, name, cause, and discrimination are included in the thoroughly imputed and dependent natures. Moreover, the object of discrimination in terms of characteristics is the nature of the mind that discriminates in this way, so it is also included in the dependent nature. In terms of names, it is the basis for inverted imputation, so it is also called the thoroughly imputed nature. The appearance as a name, as stated before, is that this is a vase, etc., and only clings to the nature related to the meaning, without clinging to such different dharmas, because the appearance of the general aspect is unreasonable, so it is only the thoroughly imputed nature. True wisdom and suchness, as stated before, are included in the two thoroughly established natures. Thus, the various distinctions of dharmas are also established without difference from sentient beings, so it is said to be the object of practice that each noble one knows for themselves. The three natures themselves are also included in the two selflessnesses. Among them, knowing the selflessness of the person is the collection of all defiled dharmas, and the dharmas included in the truths of suffering and origin are known to be impermanent and suffering, etc.

Śiṅ. It should be known to be devoid of permanence, self, purity, etc., as conceived by outsiders. Here, the aspect of purification is also devoid of self, etc., as conceived by outsiders. However, since impurity and suffering, etc., are not places where aversion arises from the very beginning, knowing these is not said to be a special aspect of knowing the selflessness of beings. Here, the meaning of the words is that it should be known that consciousness arises from all the senses due to the power of habits, such as attachment to objects of grasping and being grasped, such as name and form, and this should be connected to what follows. If asked who knows, the answer is: like this, etc. If asked how to know, the answer is: aggregates, etc., like water flowing down a cliff, the momentary cessation of seeds, etc., this is the end of knowing. Unstable like a monkey, meaning: the mind is not constant or wavering in the object. Like a bee, one's own self is impure and enjoys impure objects, as it is said to be full of thirty-two impure substances, etc. Without a protector, there is no place of refuge like a lord other than the light of merit, which also shows that beings are suffering. Like a fire burning, desire for objects increases and one does not know satisfaction, or it is said to be similar to being attached to its touch and not knowing satisfaction. Like a bucket, it clearly explains the cycle of existence, that is, the cycle of living beings, etc. If asked: in such a body arising and ceasing, is there a mind that has obtained autonomy? The answer is: like illusion, a zombie, and a wooden machine, there is actually no mind that can control. Those of the Śrāvaka lineage, etc., knowing the selflessness of such a person, means that aversion arises to saṃsāra from the very beginning, thereby entering the path of nirvāṇa. Knowing in this way can also gradually realize the selflessness of phenomena, so-called aggregates are merely an aggregation, that is, name and form are aggregated, like a thread born from the seed of karma with defilements, connected and gathered by the moisture of craving, becoming causes for each other like an arrow tower.
