All places are called enemies, is it because they are to be conquered? Or are the four maras enemies, because they are to be conquered? Furthermore, when a Bodhisattva is alive, because he completely abandons limitless afflictions, he is called an 'Arhat.' In this regard, here, at the time of manifesting the wisdom of the Dharmakaya, because it is free from elaborations such as what is to be abandoned and the antidote, it is only said that the Bodhisattva completely abandoned limitless afflictions when he was alive. The continuity of abandoning them also exists in the state of Buddhahood. Furthermore, the enemy is suffering. Previously, when a Bodhisattva was practicing, he experienced various kinds of suffering for the benefit of sentient beings, but there was no discomfort, and he was always happy. In the state of Buddhahood, it is the same, so it is called 'Arhat.' Furthermore, here, the meaning of 'Ara' in 'Arhat' refers to suitability. Therefore, it is suitable to be offered flowers, garlands, etc., and various musical instruments by the world including gods, and because it is offered, it is called 'Arhat.' 'Right' means non-inverted. 'Perfect' means that there is no ignorance of the four inversions of permanence, happiness, purity, and self, and that the realization of their non-inverted reality is complete, so it is called 'Rightly Perfect.' Furthermore, 'Right' refers to the fact that in the ordinary worldly state, appearances and fame become one with emptiness of self-nature, and this union of emptiness and appearance is the worldly Madhyamaka. 'Perfect' means that if one realizes and meditates in a general way and perseveres on the path, one will definitely attain the unsurpassed Rightly Perfect. 'Rightly Perfect' refers to the five aggregates, twelve sources, and eighteen elements. Hearers and solitary realizers only know that their names are complete, but they do not know everything as it is. Even if they only realize the form aggregate for countless eons, they will not fully understand it, so they cannot be called 'Rightly Perfect.' 'Buddha' refers to awareness.
