Just as the shaper has taken the form of what was done before, so the hills between the islands, the pastures, the trees, and so forth, are not regarded by the wise as having been done before. Therefore, from such a fruit, one can infer such a cause. Just as from the fruit of a temple, etc., one can infer the drawing of lines, etc., grasping the connection, such a form can be understood and be a suitable object of understanding. To infer a difference from that which has little or no difference, such as inferring fire from the mere similarity of phenomena belonging to haze and mist, etc., such as being raised into the sky, is not reasonable. Similarly, since the body, actions, and the basis of dwelling are not regarded as having been done before by a wise and special person, how can one infer Īśvara from that? The Īśvara of the non-dual side is also the permanent, the one, and the pervasive entity, and all things are of its nature. As Śāntarakṣita says, the entities of the nature of Īśvara are without difference in form, like: That which is stable and moving, Whatever little exists on the earth, All of that is the supreme Īśvara, Existing pervading as the self. At that time, no one would become non-Īśvara, and the distinctions of liberation and non-liberation, wealth and poverty, etc., would become indistinguishable, and all would become of the nature of peace. That is the adornment of discrimination, like Brahmā and so forth. A detailed debate will be applied here. In the appendix to the second chapter of the Holy Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra, spoken by Yeshe Palzang, below the place of the answer to the question and the debate on the Ālayavijñāna and emptiness, is the fourth examination of the Tathāgatagarbha. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Mahāmati, looking at the assembly of future beings, again asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, what is called a Bodhisattva, and so forth. The All-Knowing One also said: By four causes, one becomes a yogi of great yoga. That is, meditating on the various appearances of one's own mind and

It is understanding that, apart from one's own mind, there is no external appearance, just like the appearances of dreams, illusions, dizziness, and so on. Completely abandoning the views of arising, abiding, and ceasing is because phenomena such as arising, abiding, and ceasing do not exist in a moment. When one moment exists, two moments do not exist. If it is said, "After the former, there is this; because there is this, there is that," this is merely the manifestation of the connection between action and agent. Arising is not, because the manifestation of the connection between the agent, action, and effect are all established on the continuum, not on a single moment. Therefore, momentary destruction is a general explanation of the selflessness of phenomena and persons. The difference of the selflessness of phenomena is that, just like the appearances of dreams, illusions, dizziness, and so on, in the ultimate sense, all appearances of duality are free from arising, abiding, and ceasing. As it appears in the Madhyamaka: "Things without inherent existence, Because they do not exist, Therefore, saying that if this exists, then that exists, Is not reasonable." This is the thought of the Prasangika school, as it says in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra: "Non-inherent existence has three aspects." There, because dependent origination has various appearances of duality, when there is no inherent existence of arising, it is like houses, villages, forests, and so on. From the perspective of establishment, variety is not an obstacle. If arising is produced by the combination of conditions, then one can recognize there the presence of three characteristics; if arising is not produced by the combination of conditions, then how can the characteristics of the combination of conditions be established? How does arising arise? Not by itself, nor by another. Cessation is also the same, not by itself, nor by another. If arising originally exists, and aging and death appear later, then arising has no aging and death. Even if it is born, it will not die. For that which does not age and die, in all phenomena, what is the use of arising that delights in everything? For it, what is the use of aging and death? To distinguish between external objects and non-existent things, then how does one distinguish between all the coarse and subtle aspects of external objects? When form is analyzed into particles, the
