The six profound meanings of substance, quality, action, generality, particularity, relation, and word meaning need to be understood. Apart from valid cognition and measurement, doubt, need, established tenets, analogy, parts, contemplation, certainty, debate, garrulousness, self-aggrandizement, appearing as a cause, accusation, and places of logical refutation are falsely asserted as existent by the students of the Vaisheshika school. The Samkhya school falsely asserts the twenty-five principles of reality as existent. The nature of Purusha is sentient, because it enjoys objects such as pleasure and pain, therefore, with a continuous stream of various forms, permanence is unreasonable for form. Sentient beings, atoms, and darkness are Pradhana when they are equal. That is also permanent and unborn. Differentiating them by the order of their distinctions, just as with wood and ashes, since Pradhana lacks awareness, the deluded natures of intellect, mind, and ego are unreasonable. Without a universal, sound and the other five objects, the five sense faculties, and the faculties of action are also unreasonable, being merely appearances of deluded nature, like dreams and illusions. Similarly, substances and qualities, and so forth, even fully understanding their distinctions in that way, one cannot attain liberation, just as fully understanding the distinctions of grass mats and walls, and so on. Falsely asserting the absence of momentariness is also not a cause of liberation, because it would become the nature of the universal, and it would also become the nature of the non-particular, and it would become the nature of the universal and the particular, as well as existence and non-existence. Even if it becomes the nature of the universal, one should not say that it is the nature of the particular. Even if it becomes the nature of the non-particular, one should not say that it is the nature of the universal. Even if it is the nature of the universal and the particular, existence is existence, and non-existence is non-existence, one should not say it simultaneously, but rather one should consider the place, time, order, and aspect, and one should not say everything. In this way, there is no fault in the meaning of the words of Suchness, but with hesitation, one cannot attain liberation. Because it is defiled by attachment to permanence and self.
