The meaning of complete purification is shown by the ten bhumis. Seeing the selflessness of phenomena, this great wisdom is the master of the tenth bhumi, and becomes the Tathagata who has power over the Dharmakaya, which is the vast meaning of the qualities of those who have realized the holy Dharma, and should be known in all the sutras. Having obtained the samadhi with the light of omniscience and without light, with the wisdom and compassion that can benefit oneself and others, it arises from the accumulation of merit and wisdom, therefore, the one who has power over the Dharmakaya will become the Tathagata. By eradicating all the obscurations of afflictions and their habitual tendencies from the root, one becomes omniscient. Afflictions such as desire are also obstacles to wisdom whose objects are uncertain. Because they are overwhelmed by afflictions such as desire, even though impermanent, painful, and ugly images are near, they are not seen, but instead cling to permanence, self, happiness, and purity. Therefore, by abandoning afflictions such as desire, like being free from cataracts, the yoga master who is extremely pure and free from desire, his omniscient wisdom will fully enter all the mandalas to be known. Thus, he pleases all beings with various forms of miracles and turns the wheel of Dharma. Suchness is that the alaya-vijñana itself, with the order of being defiled and undefiled, should be understood as having samsara and nirvana. By the nature of the power of wisdom, it is luminous and able to benefit oneself and others, and will become the Buddha. As it is said in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra: 'The consciousness of taking is very deep and subtle, all the seeds from which the flow arises, I have not told this to children, lest they grasp it as self.' The realm of beginningless time, all is the basis of Dharma, because it exists, all beings will also see nirvana. To this, the heretics add and slander.

Believing "I" to be permanent, and because the continuum of all consciousnesses is severed, the alaya-consciousness that usually arises is also severed. Fearing slander, Mahamati petitioned the All-Knowing One. The Blessed One, in order to dispel all doubts, also spoke the following teaching: "Superimposition and slander do not exist in Mind-Only." This means that the tirthikas believe "I" to be permanent, and such superimposition and slander are not permissible in the mind's continuum. Because there is no severance in the mind's continuum, the mind's continuum, like gold, exists as it is at all times. Whoever does not understand the true existence of the mind will ultimately fall into the extremes of superimposition of permanence and the imagination of annihilation. Those who do not understand the mind that appears as body, enjoyment, and place, and who practice superimposition and slander, are not wise. Wisdom arising from the power of the difference in the thoughts of one's own and others' continuums, and like precious gold that has been defiled by dirt, can also become without dirt. This is because the wisdom existing in the continuum is like ashes, and like earth cooked with potatoes, through the yoga of wisdom, it is like being free from dizziness and fainting, and like the lens of the eye and wool, it is free from afflictions, objects of knowledge, obscurations of karma, and both with and without appearance, and the non-dual samadhi is completely pure, extremely pure, free from attachment, all-knowing, and attaining the fruit of the Buddha who can manifest yoga freely in various forms, benefiting oneself and others. For those without great wisdom, there are four types of superimposition. What are the four? They are as follows: Superimposing on non-existent nature, which is superimposing on permanence and "I," etc. Superimposing on non-existent views, which is superimposing on happiness and purity, etc. Superimposing on non-causes, which is superimposing Brahma, Ishvara, Pradhana, elements, time, the principle of certainty, gods, etc., as causes. Superimposing on non-existent things, which is superimposing limbs composed of atoms.
