It should be known that as a way of establishing and as a basis, the respective characteristics of space and form are different. In terms of the meaning of sound, it is not the meaning of the thing itself, that is the intention. With things and without things, form and space follow, so that one's place is the other's place. The so-called "arising" and so on, because space has no thing, it does not dwell there. However, they are not without space either, because in the place of arising, space exists. The so-called "likewise" refers to space and rabbit horns, etc., which are said to have the same nature in the objects of investigation. Since cow horns, etc., exist, if rabbit horns do not exist relative to cow horns, then what does the cow horn depend on to become non-existent? This is what (the Buddha) said considering this point. Cow horns, etc., when a large horn is broken down into fine dust, it becomes empty like houses, villages, and forests, etc. Even if the fine dust is observed from all directions, the fine dust cannot exist and becomes empty. This shows that wisdom is proving the selflessness of phenomena. The so-called "also such a nature of phenomena" refers to mutual dependence, dharma and dharmata, characteristics and definitions, etc., whatever is thought, it cannot establish its own nature, therefore, all of this is emptiness. The so-called rabbit horns and cow horns, etc., should be free from the conceptual mind that looks at the objects of investigation and dependence on others. Therefore, one should be free from conceptual mind. For permanence, self, space, and rabbit horns, etc., it is because they are the objects of investigation. The nature of cow horns, dreams, illusions, and mirages, etc., is dependent on others, because they are apparent, so they can function. The so-called "one should show the yoga of the appearance of one's own mind", because there is no external object, so it is said: "One should also transform the conceptual mind of the appearance of one's own mind into a mind of recollection". That is to say, do not conceptualize external objects that are superior to the appearance of one's own mind. The so-called "various appearances are non-existent" is because of the appearance. Like "what is there" and "what is said", it means that there are various minds.

Meaning of that. The mind arises from appearance, which means it arises from its own limbs, not from external objects. How so? It is said: "Body, enjoyment, and place appearance, arise from the Alaya-vijnana's maturation." Like dreams and so on, therefore there is no external object. How is there no external object? It is said: "Mind, intellect, and various consciousnesses, self-nature and the five dharmas, selflessness and the two non-dualities, are well explained through various guidance." Among them, self-nature is the Dharmadhatu, purity and impurity, wisdom and what is contained. The eight consciousnesses, such as mind, have already been discussed. Selflessness is the selflessness of the individual. The two non-dualities are the selflessness of phenomena. The two non-dualities also have the nature of others' power and illusion, etc., because there are no things and no non-things. To cut off that meaning, it is intended that the ultimate truth is the pure wisdom of non-duality. The five, such as name and characteristic, have been described. Long and short, etc., are with cause and example, like the past meaning of long and short, etc., spoken in verses. One depends on the other to exist or not exist. In a dust particle, the substance is destroyed. When divided into directional parts, one should not analyze form. As it is said: Because the horns of a cow are empty, depending on that, the horns of a rabbit are later born. Thus, because there is no external object, it is only the Mind-Only. That also cannot be destroyed by the evil views of those who are confused. As it is said: "Like water, impurities are removed and become clear, so it becomes completely pure." Discrimination is measure and measurement, etc., because it is seen as external object, so it makes various establishments, but it is not so in what appears as Mind-Only. Hearers discriminate external forms as impermanent, suffering, impure, and unbeautiful. The wisdom of the ultimate truth of non-duality does not discriminate and has no appearance. It is the realm of practice that is realized by each of the noble ones who have mastered the ground, who have realized the two selflessnesses. It is the nature of truly knowing, appearing as self like a lamp.
