Sa! One should take pleasure in the play of compassion. For battle and fear, one should take pleasure in Ḍhai-bad sound. Therefore, with singing companions, one should take pleasure in what is in accordance with meaning. One should examine from the treatise of Vishakhali whether the mandala of tones is stable. The seven tones and the three cities, and the twenty-one victors, and the forty-nine tanas, that is the extent of the mandala of tones. The singing companion made the body invisible, entered into the belly of the lute, and sang with verses, therefore he obtained the samadhi of non-appearance, and because he is the lord of yoga, how could he be defeated by those who seek pleasure? From the Yaksha wooden chariot, it is said that the kings of the Yakshas are the owners of the eighth ground. From the Vijnanavada, it seems that those who seek pleasure are also the lords of the seventh ground. As it appears from the ritual: Not knowing obscures wisdom, therefore beings become deluded. Those who destroy not knowing, they are like the sun of wisdom, becoming supremely manifest. And so on. Then, those who dwell on the higher grounds subdue those who dwell on the lower grounds through wisdom and skillful means. The noble Bodhisattvas, when they attain the tenth Bodhisattva ground, become great lords. Therefore, there is no fault in the singing companion pleasing the great lord. Is it that having attained freedom from desire, he delights in the peak of desire? Or is it one who is not free from desire? This is a place of great joy and complete purity, what is it? It is the place of the Bodhisattva. For some, there is attachment, and for some, there is no attachment, this is said to the lords of yoga, it comes from the tenth ground sutra. Because the Bodhisattva becomes a great lord on the tenth ground, therefore it should also be examined whether he has attained the samadhi of emptiness. From the yoga spoken by the great lord: It is said that liberation comes from the absence of things, bondage comes from the thought of things. Therefore, one should completely abandon things and abide in the thing of emptiness. Should one examine whether the desireless one of pure lineage is regarded as the lord?

It is not so. That is concentration and wisdom. It is unbelievable that Balamika said on his own that greatness itself is not so, because the great monkeys were torn to pieces and revived by the prayer of the Lord of the Gods, Indra. If it is said that yakshas and rakshasas will die as soon as they speak, then why didn't the curse kill Indra in the first place, and how did Indra come to be bound by them? Now, what is to be told is the praise by calling companions: The nature of mind itself is the treasure of Dharma, The view of selflessness, free from elaboration and without stain, Each self-awareness, showing the one who does, Dharma-nature protector, please also explain here. As it is said, there is no external dharma such as form other than mind, which is what the Blessed One said here: If one examines atoms in form, There is no part of the atom. As it is said. But what appears? Even when there are no external objects, The mind appears in two ways. As it is said. The appearance of body, enjoyment, and place is the all-ground arising everywhere, like the eight and nine consciousnesses, like ocean waves. By the sound of the treasure of Dharma, by calling companions, having heard the Dharma of the All-Knowing One before and followed it, it appears as the meaning of examining in the all-ground consciousness. Understanding the selflessness of Dharma and person is to be free from views, because abandoning the views of permanence, self, and agent, it is therefore without stain. Those who are deluded, whatever suffering they are connected with, it is because of attachment to self, like moths to a flame. In samsara, the characteristics of birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and disturbance are called being connected with suffering. However, even without inverted knowledge, one will be connected with suffering, and that is because of attachment to self. Even so, for those who have arisen with the distinction of wisdom, even if they abandon places such as fullness and cliffs, they will fall there, and this is the measure of harm to the unfavorable side. Therefore, suffering of samsara arises from attachment to self.
