Therefore, how can those who, due to sinful deeds, become meat-eating beings, abandon the mind of harming sentient beings, who are attached to the taste of meat, such as gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans? I beseech the all-knowing ones to make it a common offering, seeking food with a mind free from attachment and impartiality, just as with the three pure offerings and the rice and other foods given in the alms bowl. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: "The food of the wise, intelligent, and learned, though pure and delicious, may slightly change. If it cannot be discarded immediately, it is permissible for the practitioner to eat it." To prevent attachment to words of high and low status, just as the benefit of sentient beings becomes small, one should diligently practice pronunciation in the Buddhist scriptures. Therefore, one should read the dialects of U and Tsang here and elsewhere. As the all-knowing ones said: "Monks, external treatises are like iron nails, which require great effort to understand. Even if understood, they are fruitless because they lack the meaning of detachment and peace." As it is said in the sutra: "Fields appear in the shape of the sun and moon, Mount Meru is like a lotus, and there are auspicious knots and the shapes of lions. Please tell me, what is the purpose of this?" The reason for arranging fields in various shapes is to generate great faith in sentient beings. Therefore, the all-knowing ones bless with the power of yoga in various forms. As the noble Vimalakirti taught: "A completely pure mind is a completely pure field." Then, fields adorned with various exquisite decorations such as the sun, moon, Mount Meru, lotus, and auspicious knots were arranged. Like the pure land adornment of the noble Manjushri, and the pure land adornment of Sukhavati, and so on. The various arrangements above and below, like illusions, the fields of all kinds of jewels, please tell me, what is the purpose of this? The fields below, in the middle, behind, in front, continuous, and interrupted...

Appearances exist in various ways. All these external appearances are like illusions, without substance, and the various appearances seen by sentient beings are different manifestations of their respective karmas. As it says in the Vajra Cutter Sutra: "Field adornment, field adornment, the Tathagata said is not field adornment." For those sentient beings whose accumulation of merit is fully ripened, all appearances are unique, and all fully accomplished merits appear as jewels. The shape of a lute is like a drum, and there are various kinds of fruits and flowers, separate from the sun and moon. Why do you tell me this? This refers to the natural shapes of things like lutes, and things like flowers and fruits. Being separate from the light of the sun and moon refers to the fields of special adornment of various kinds of merit, and appearing separately by their own light. Some are emanation Buddhas, some Buddhas are fruition, and the true wisdom Buddhas. Why do you tell me this? Those emanations who enact passing into nirvana are emanation body Buddhas. Those arising from the full ripening of the accumulations of merit and wisdom, with the yoga masters of various forms, pleasing the yoga masters such as gods, all the omniscient ones who first attained complete enlightenment, enter into samadhi with all appearances. These appear as Vairochana Buddha, the Bhagavan, the noble chief. When wisdom examines the coarse and the subtle, when the body is analyzed into particles, the component parts of the particles do not exist. At that time, not clinging to external objects, being free from the concepts of grasper and grasped, without thought, without appearance, entering into the non-dual ultimate truth, suchness, merging into one's own awareness, they are called the Dharmakaya suchness Buddha, the Bhagavan. Please, omniscient one, explain the distinctions of the three bodies. Why manifest enlightenment in the desire realm? Why attain enlightenment in Akanishta, in the realm free from attachment? This refers to manifesting the emanation body Buddha attaining enlightenment in the desire realm.
