Just like entering. How many kinds of liberation are there? How many kinds of yogis are there? How many kinds of disciples are there? And how does one become a teacher? There are two kinds of nirvana: that which is with the remainder of aggregates, and that which is without remainder, distinguished by separation. The non-Buddhists think that being born in the world of gods is liberation, because it is characterized by freeing oneself from the suffering of the human world. Some think that the peace of the one self, and the union with the same taste, is the yogi, that is, the nature of Brahma, divided into two, the Brahma of sound divided into two, existence divided into two, consciousness divided into two, the nature of the self with feeling, without feeling, pervasive, atom-like, one form, many forms. There are many kinds of yogis, namely the first, those who abide on the path of yoga, and those born of yoga. Distinguishing by the yoga of two and non-two, obtaining the supreme wisdom of mantra and tantra, the yogi who is all-knowing, who has completely eradicated afflictions, karma, and cognitive obscurations, along with their predispositions, who practices benefiting others with compassion and wisdom, and who has perfected the accumulation of merit and wisdom through the distinctions of the perfections. The first disciple is diligent in listening and thinking. The intermediate one is the one who has perfected knowledge. The wise one is the one who has deeply entered into true wisdom, who strives to exhaust the suffering of samsara, who rejoices in benefiting all sentient beings with compassion and wisdom, that is, the yogi who is in control. The teacher is the one who teaches the oral instructions of the true treatises, who leads into the path of yoga, who has generated the excellence of wisdom, who is able to benefit himself and others, who has exhausted the faults of afflictions such as desire, who has the acceptance and rejection of compassion and wisdom, and who knows the things to be abandoned. How many kinds of Buddhas are there? How many kinds of births are there? How many kinds of demons are there? How many kinds of wonders are there? That is to say, even through the three vehicles, one attains perfect enlightenment.

Then, relying on the differences of superior, middling, and inferior wisdom, one becomes a Buddha by manifestly and completely awakening. The actions of the Tirthika Brahmins are that the pure Buddha is liberation. The Shivas say that the Buddha, the one who makes one a Buddha, is the Buddha. The one who is not a Buddha is a samsaric being. Great gods such as the Lord of Knowledge and the Lord of Hosts, the Lord of Yoga, are said to be those who make one a Buddha. Buddha is peace. Therefore, it is said: embodied beings with parts should be known, knowledge with and without parts, that without parts is peace itself, abiding above all. The lineage of beings is the endless distinction of the perfections of generosity, ethics, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, skillful means, aspiration, strength, and knowledge. There are four types of demons: the demon of afflictions, the demon of aggregates, the demon of death, and the demon of the sons of the gods. There are many kinds of wonders: those who speak of two and non-duality, those with subdued faculties and those with unsubdued faculties, bathing, fire offerings, sweeping, abandoning the body on a cliff, auspiciousness, discriminating inauspiciousness, fruits, roots, milk, non-milk, rice, water, eating leaves, smearing with ashes, plucking hair, adorning with matted locks, dancing, singing, the asceticism of cows, deer, and peacocks, various kinds of attire, holding jewels and gold, etc., all who say these are the self, all say liberation, therefore, until attachment to self is completely abandoned, liberation is not possible, I pray that the all-knowing one accomplish it. How many kinds of your nature are there? How many kinds of mind are there? And how is mere imputation? Please tell me, O supreme speaker. This is to say that the all-knowing one has two kinds of nature: with appearance and without appearance, distinguished by samadhi. The mind is the alaya-vijnana, that is: the appearance of body, enjoyment, and place, the alaya arises in all ways, the eight and nine consciousnesses are also like that.
