The sixteen investigations of dependent origination. All great disputant heretics, observing in eight ways, such as "I am not," etc., are related to impermanence. What are the eight ways? Among them, some great wise ones say that transformation from diligence is impermanence. The so-called "great wise one's diligence" refers to birth, that is, the heretics are diligent in producing the fruit of permanent dharmas, therefore, doing so is impermanent. They think so, and gradually think that the things that are born are also unborn. Some say that the transformation of shape is impermanence. It means, how to combine substances into a whole, in the process of combination, obstacles and damages suddenly appear, and when the various parts of the whole are separated, such as the destruction of substances such as bottles by sticks, etc., the shape of this whole substance is destruction, but illusion is not. Some say that form itself is impermanent. It means that forms such as flames and lightning are permanent. Some say that the difference in the transformation of form is impermanence, and all dharmas continue uninterruptedly to be liberated by their own nature, just like the difference between milk becoming yogurt, there is also invisible destruction in all things, that is, impermanence. The former is the Nyaya school, and all special views are considered by the omniscient. This is the view of the Samkhya school, as stated in the explanation of the Bhagavata Purana, The omniscient also said that the invisible destruction in all things is impermanence. From oneself, such as the production of things that transform from milk into yogurt and ghee, that is, abandoning the previous shape and producing other dharmas. Some people think that things are impermanent, that is, they think that there are no previous things, such as tiles and coal are all fictitious. Some people think that things...

To regard things without substance as impermanent is like Śapānaka and those with speculation. That is, constant change, impermanent change, constant and impermanent change, One should also not speak of constant change, nor should one speak of impermanent change, nor should one speak of constant and impermanent change, depending on the order and form, one should not say that all is all, dividing into seven. Those with speculation consider that things are different and non-different in general and specific characteristics. The form of things is unique, examining the form as desired. Entering in order and simultaneously, there is no other form of words. Just as in mixed colors, one holds colors as desired. Likewise, because things are diverse, one does not observe difference and non-difference. Just as whoever knows one, thereby truly and truly knows, not distinguishing the difference of time, likewise one does not distinguish sound. How does it become one through habit, even if it has gone to different places, it is not distinguished by different places, likewise there is no distinction in sound. It is said that things with properties are permanent, and dharmas are impermanent as different and non-different. The small and large Devadatta are also the same. Letters are also the same in long and short. Other's own nature is impermanent, and "is" is impermanent. For those with speculation, there is no difference in history. The change of form is impermanent, which is the same for all speakers, that is, when the pot meets with fire, the blue disappears, and the red arises. Arising is impermanent, because it is included in all things, so for time and such permanent substances, it is not other. Just as the previous form of dust and so on, the subsequent nature arises. At the time of meeting and the time of separation, other natures arise, and for them, this is impermanence. When distinguishing the difference between meeting and separation, the author of the non-author arises, likewise, the characteristics of non-movement obtain the nature of the difference of transferring to other realms. Moved and unmoved, etc., those who possess the characteristics of different times, do not consider it one.
