There is not. At any time, when external objects do not appear, there is no thought or appearance, and one abides in the inexpressible realization of the non-duality of ultimate truth. Therefore, through the habit of compassion, one awakens for the benefit of others. By practicing the accumulation of merit and wisdom of the grounds and perfections from higher to higher, one will attain the samadhi of duality and non-duality. Therefore, completely understanding the selflessness of phenomena and persons is to follow the meaning, not to follow the words. As the Omniscient One said, "From much learning, meaning is obtained." The fifteenth chapter of the explanation of the Holy Lankavatara Sutra, composed by Yeshe Pal Zang, examines the scattered dharmas such as dependent origination and impermanence after the examination of the Buddha's teachings in the third chapter. The summary meaning of the objects of cause and effect as conceived by the Omniscient One is this: from the accumulation of causes, the collection of the nature of inner and outer effects appears. That is, eye and form, appearance and attention, from the power of the accumulation of causes, consciousness such as eye arises closely. Therefore, when the cause is destroyed, the effect is also destroyed, which is the nature caused by the immediately preceding condition. The object is also the same. From the sense faculties, the object is determined separately. For those who speak of external objects, they thus discriminate between the object and the entity of the object. The consciousness of the nature of the aggregate is also empty because of various forms, like houses, villages, forests, and so on. The form object made of the elements and the elements is also empty like houses and so on because of the accumulation. Since the elements are inseparable from the parts, there is no separate entity as an entity. The forms, etc., that arise from it also have no independent otherness. Therefore, the entity of the object and the object is a collection of appearances, but it does not exist in ultimate truth. In dreams, there are no objects such as form, sense faculties, or consciousness such as eye. It is the same appearance, the habit of various defilements.

From the power of maturation, the sole consciousness appears as various distinct forms. There, there are no causal objects of cause and effect that are manifestly related to the doer and the deed. Therefore, dependent arising, which is without arising, appears separately. When analyzed by wisdom, dividing what is to be known into coarse and subtle distinct parts, when it is invisible, there is no thought and no appearance there, realizing the moment of the ultimate truth that is non-dual, because it is inexpressible, so there, immediately after that, because this exists, that exists, it is also impossible to show what is considered as Dharma. The terms of sound and meaning of the Omniscient also enter in a general form. Just as rising from cessation samadhi, when abiding in samadhi with appearance, the teaching of Dharma arises. Awakened by the habit of compassion, from the doors of liberation of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, when the Omniscient arises, all the needs of sentient beings' thoughts will appear, therefore, there is no obstacle to teaching the Dharma. When abiding in and arising from different samadhis with appearance and without appearance, various teachings of Dharma will be taught, as well as answering requests, please combine with sutras such as the Holy Mother Prajnaparamita. Similarly, all the Omniscient Ones abiding in samadhi in the immovable place, in order to awaken each individually, and when entering samadhi with appearance, they will observe dependent arising as not arising like an illusion, and teach the Dharma. With different aspects appearing separately as coarse and subtle, they will teach the aggregates, elements, dependent arising, and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, etc., the two aspects of Dharma. What arises from merit and samadhi appears as form, like an illusion, and with all aspects of the two aspects being empty and non-dual, realizing the ultimate truth, even the pure Buddha himself also shows as the yoga of samsara. The Explanation of the Holy Lankavatara, the third chapter composed by Yeshe Palsangpo, Dependent Arising
