Now, there is no cessation, and the pure dependent origination, the cause of the moment, is shown. Because this exists under the former, therefore this exists, thus examining the Dharma. Just as the appearance of two enters into terminology, so too, the correct understanding of the momentary continuum of non-duality is not in the absence of thought and appearance. By nature, it is unspeakable, and those who do not discriminate between things and non-things become Buddhas by abandoning discrimination. When entering into the Samadhi with the appearance of omniscience, the teaching of the Dharma arises, and this has been said many times. As it says in the Madhyamaka: 'Other depends on other for other; that other is also non-existent; since other is unreal, non-other is also non-existent; all that exists is also non-existent.' Thus it is. Therefore, those discriminations into name and meaning do not exist in ultimate truth. Therefore, saying that one falls into the views of annihilationism and eternalism there, that which is separate from the appearance of the two is not a real thing, like a rabbit's horn, a lotus in the sky, the child of a barren woman, and so on. Some say that the completely imputed is the moment of confusion in the appearance of the two, which is non-existent. That which is non-dual does not change, therefore it discriminates. In order to dispel such dualistic talk, at the time of existence and liberation, suffering and non-suffering, etc., in the confusion of distinguishing them, it is neither unreal nor permanent, like gold free from impurities. The purity without discrimination of things and non-things is the Buddha, the nature of unborn and unceasing. Birth and cessation, etc., are examined in dependent origination by prophecies, etc., and are not present in either of the two aspects. If it is not present in the place of non-discrimination of the power of others, nor in the cause of the moment, then what need is there to say about the inexpressible perfectly established, this place is also non-existent. If this term of nomenclature is the time of unborn and unceasing, it is not permissible to say that all dharmas are unborn, the noble Great Wisdom says, 'The Tathagata is not unreal,' and so on. The intention of omniscience.

What is it? It is that which is fully established as a thing. It is not merely the absence of characteristics, such as the son of a barren woman, nor is it the absence of the nature to give rise to various and diverse appearances, like dreams, illusions, blurred visions, and reflections. Therefore, the exhaustion of the naturally luminous, completely pure, and non-dual is the Thus-Gone One, because it alone is impossible to harm. In the "Seven Hundred," it also speaks of "thing." How is the Thus-Gone One a thing? The intention spoken of there should be understood from the "Definitive Explanation of the Intention," which states, "In the ultimate truth, there is no thing with two aspects." Therefore, the emptiness of the ultimate truth, devoid of inherent existence, is the Thus-Gone One. The explanation of the Venerable Lord Maitreya is clear here: "That which lacks the thing of duality is the characteristic of the emptiness of things." Also, from the first ground, the "Madhyamaka of the Powers," it states: "The ultimate truth is clear, without conceptualization and without appearance, unspoken by all elaborations. This is the nectar of the teaching of the World Protector, the Buddha. Those who see things as existing and those who see them as non-existent are of small intellect. The object to be viewed, the pacified, the peaceful, is not seen by them. Do not speak of emptiness, nor transform into non-emptiness, nor speak of two or not two. Where does the fourfold pacification pacify?" Thus, not conceptually distinguishing between things and non-things is the eightfold Madhyamaka samadhi. Its arising and ceasing, etc., are interdependent origination, the beginning and end are empty, and in the middle, the nature itself is empty, not appearing separately. Only knowing exhausts the path, and it should also be known. How so? Having eliminated external things, by entering into mere knowing, that is the essence of Madhyamaka, taught by me and others. That is the samadhi of consciousness of the lords of the seven grounds. The Madhyamaka samadhi is also, not non-thing, not without thing, not fixating on existence and non-existence, that is the essence of Madhyamaka, taught by me and others. Differentiating between consciousness and Madhyamaka samadhi is, the seventh ground.
