Understanding the two selflessnesses, namely, the selflessness of phenomena and the selflessness of persons. As stated in this very sutra: 'When form is analyzed into particles, the particles have no parts.' Thus, the aggregates that constitute the whole are divided, and when divided into cooked and uncooked, moving and unmoving, obscured and unobscured, etc., with different aspects, they become empty like houses, villages, forests, etc. The indivisible particles cannot be arranged one above the other, as mind and mental factors are said to be intermittent. In the selflessness of persons, everything that exists is momentary, like the sound of cymbals and flowing water. Other speakers assert the existence of self, Brahma, Ishvara, atoms, and the Pradhana. Their intellect and discrimination cannot grasp reality, because permanence does not exist, as it is unborn, like the son of a barren woman. The functions of sequence and simultaneity are contradictory, so like a rabbit's horn, there is no reality. Thus, fully knowing the selflessness of persons and examining it with wisdom, one does not engage in discriminations of permanence, self, agent, action, doer, deed, object, and subject. As stated in the Noble Perfection of Wisdom Sutra: 'Because it does not abide in the aggregates and is destroyed, it is called the emptiness of the interior.' Likewise, because there is no attachment to self and what belongs to self, abandoning miserliness, with the accumulation of merit and wisdom from all the perfections such as generosity, the faculties of yoga become increasingly powerful in the distinctions of the grounds, gaining mastery over objects, and the mind, intellect, and consciousness cease. How does one attain mastery? By understanding the empowerment of the wisdom of all Buddhas, holding the state of non-affliction, and spontaneously accomplishing all dharmas, which is called dharma. With the distinctions of the ten grounds, the ten perfections are combined with the accumulation of merit and wisdom, progressing from higher to higher.

Having completely attained the most excellent empowerment, one obtains the omniscient state attained by all yogic masters who are capable of benefiting themselves and others, and will be able to benefit sentient beings. Furthermore, the second precept is that of transcending faith and practice. Having obtained empowerment after attaining samadhi on the Joyful Ground, this is liberation from samsara. He is born into the lineage of the Tathagatas, is learned and fearless. He has no arrogance in the retinue, and is fearless of all harm. He sees a hundred Buddhas, travels to a hundred Buddha-fields, and manifests a hundred bodies. Through the two, he becomes a universal monarch, leading sentient beings into the path of the ten virtuous actions. Giving charity to all sentient beings, such as giving food to those who need food, etc., the merits are vast, and one tends more towards the perfection of generosity. Without impurity, holding the view of selflessness of phenomena and persons, and because of not clinging to the duality of grasper and grasped, abiding in the samadhi of non-dual discipline, one tends more towards the perfection of discipline. Manifesting clairvoyance in the light, and because of obtaining patience, being endowed with light, one becomes visible. In the light, being delighted to realize the worldly and transcendental dharmas, one tends more towards the perfection of diligence. In the extremely difficult to conquer, conquering the afflictions that are difficult to conquer, placing the mind one-pointedly in equanimity, one tends more towards the perfection of meditation. In the manifest, because of acting in accordance with dependent origination, in harmony and disharmony, one tends more towards the perfection of wisdom. Going far is because of realizing the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, therefore it is going far. Even though one is free from desire for the three realms, one still benefits others with compassion and skillful means. This is tending more towards the perfection of skillful means. In immovability, examining dependent origination with wisdom, arising from the samadhi of emptiness, non-duality, and non-appearance, and with the pure worldly samadhi and the samadhi with appearance, illuminating the world with the wisdom of individual observation, and making aspirations for the benefit of others.
