Or from desire, or from the cause of karma? If that is without cause, hey, Brahmin, these two are also world-affirming extremists. How are these two world-affirming extremists? What is the intention of the all-knowing one in that? As it is, universally discriminating in relation to the agent of cause, thus, in all dharmas, there is no karma, therefore there is no understanding, as well as desire, and the cause of karma, the three existences do not arise. Not from no cause, not from self, not from other, not from both, not from no cause. Thus it is said. However, under the former, if this exists then this exists, thus it is established as a dharma, that is, dependent arising, is unborn, there is no other than the momentary dharma of arising and so on. In the momentary continuum that is inexpressible and non-dual, discrimination is not allowed either. This exists then this exists, is the discrimination of establishing as dharma in the two aspects of other's independence. All things fall into their own characteristics and general characteristics, which is the argument of world-affirming extremism. The self-characteristics and general characteristics abandoned by the all-knowing one are the discrimination of external and internal warmth and cold, constant and impermanent things in the consciousness of two aspects. Therefore, in all aspects of erroneous superimposition, it is said to be self-characteristics and general characteristics. As the "Middle Way" says: If the signified and the nature are different, then the name becomes without nature. If they are one, then the two are not established, if they are different, then they are also not different. Thus. Therefore, since there is no nature inside and outside, there is discrimination, for this reason, the all-knowing one proclaimed the principle of pervading world-affirming extremism. Brahmin, to what extent the mind is shaken, and to what extent there is manifest attachment to external objects and it is only discrimination, that is world-affirming extremism. To what extent there is manifest attachment to external objects, and the consciousness in which the discrimination of grasper and grasped appear separately, is inverted consciousness. To what extent the mind is shaken, that is, the entry into the aspects of permanence and so on, only that all are world-affirming extremists. Whatever the wisdom of ultimate truth is, is the non-dual true awareness that is without thought and without appearance.

Discriminating between things and non-things, therefore, all aspects of dualistic discrimination do not exist. This tenet is that of the Truthful Gone One, and can be established apart from all non-Buddhists. Because it arises as a momentary continuum, it is not a dharma that agrees with the eternal etc. of non-Buddhists. Because there is no external object, it turns away from the cause of arising of the Lokayata and enters into knowledge, that is, the mind born from the complete maturation of the habits of virtuous and non-virtuous actions, and born from familiarizing oneself with the accumulations of wisdom etc. Therefore, it can be inferred that refuting the Lokayata is established. Although the non-duality of analyzing the gross and subtle by examining with wisdom can be taken as an object, however, correctly knowing the continuum of the non-dual nature of no-thought and no-appearance, then it is certain to enter into something other than that, just as correctly knowing sense consciousness is manifest. This tenet is not that of the non-Buddhists, nor is it praised by the Lokayata. The Tathagata also taught this tenet, which should be understood briefly as the vast intention of the Tathagata. Because of falsely conjecturing the arising of external objects, discrimination arises. When one examines with wisdom, then it is not found and discrimination ceases, abiding in its own nature. Confusion is because it is confused. By examining with wisdom, error ceases. When confusion arises from a place, then the discrimination of the aspect of the two graspers that depends on others arises. When the sign is not found, then it merely abides in abiding in its own place. This is clearly explained by the All-Knowing One himself. Accumulating impurity is accumulating desire, which is the meaning of suffering. The complete cessation of suffering is attained through pure dharma. Therefore, one should completely abandon the speech of the Lokayata and strive to attain pure dharma. This is the twelfth chapter on the examination of the Lokayata from the third chapter of the Holy Lankavatara Sutra, explained and combined by Yeshe Pal Zangpo. Then, Mahamati, what is the collection of dharmas? It is like this: with one's own mind, dharma
