Furthermore, it is impossible to be completely purified from all defilements. Like something being examined, and also that which is established by the power of others, does not exist. Whatever is said in this way, that is what creates the karma of producing suffering from the excellent Dharma. In the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*, the intention of the Omniscient One is that the meaning of suchness is like an illusion, arising dependently, empty at the beginning and the end, and emptiness in the middle with the nature of duality. One instant is not related to the instant at the beginning and the end. Therefore, the agent and the act are separate from manifest connection, and if the former exists, then the latter exists. Likewise, phenomena such as birth, abiding, and cessation do not exist in a single instant. Therefore, the absence of birth and cessation is dependent arising, which is the intention of the Omniscient One. In this way, the selflessness of phenomena and persons is not contradictory to the nature of phenomena. The selflessness of phenomena is unborn in the form of duality, like dreams and illusions. The selflessness of persons is that everything that exists is momentary, like the sound of cymbals, lightning, and flowing water. Because permanence is unborn, there is no entity, like the son of a barren woman. How can it be said that the moment is directly perceived? Some say that a moment lasts for six periods, and belonging to that is like sixty-four moments passing in the time of the sound of cymbals. Some say that in a short dream, one feels experiencing a hundred years, and similarly, there is no certainty for each understanding of the time of a moment, and there is no discrimination of the three times for the measure of the appearance of samsara. Therefore, since there is no samsara, what can be believed in the discrimination of liberation? This is saying that it contradicts all causes. Establishing with valid cognition and what is to be measured, corresponding to the appearance as it is, answering it by saying two and non-two. Like the sound of cymbals and lightning, etc., being separate from the initial and final time of a moment, the extremely rapid destruction is directly perceived, and that is the moment itself. Whatever the Samkhya and

E yi ya yi ka And, those who are special contemplate that they abide in six kshanas, this arises in sequence, not simultaneously. Just as the Samkhyas say that birth, existence, change, increase, decay, and destruction are six kinds of changes of things that do not occur simultaneously, because they do not think so. The kshanas such as Ne yi ya yi ka, etc., at the time of a kshana, from the later kshana, do not change to contemplate other things, how are they related to existence, and the time of abiding, the time of arising other qualities, the time of the object, the time of approaching the cause of destruction, and destruction. Such sequentially arising kshanas do not arise at the same time. How can they abide between six kshanas in the form of extremely rapid destruction? How do kshanas arise sixty-four kshanas at the time of the sound of cymbals? Similarly, after the thumb and fingertip touch each other in sequence, the sound that arises is heard in an instant, and thus it is extremely established in all schools. Like a dream, the confusion of extreme confusion cannot determine the length of time. If one truly knows the kshana that is inseparable from the two truths of ultimate truth, then there is no clinging to the self as a separate entity. However, with all appearances, the pure worldly wisdom of omniscient knowledge, like experiencing each kshana, knows the kshana that is different and separated from the order of the beginning and the end, then free from the obscurations of desire, etc., to the omniscient wisdom, whatever is the meaning of the three times appears as solitary, like a wise person without cataracts. However, if one is close to the confusion of desire, etc., wisdom will not enter. When one is free from desire, etc., then the wisdom that is free from all defilements will fully enter. Furthermore, the so-called great wisdom falling into the Alaya-vijnana with and without characteristics is the characteristic of the appearance of form, etc.
