However, it should not become a collection gathered above and below, just like the mind and what arises from the mind. Relying on the appearance in the realm of the limbs, it should also not become things and non-things. If the minute particle in the center exists at the end of the lower direction, why would it not exist in the upper direction? Therefore, due to the power of inner emptiness, the body and the consciousness that appears as enjoyment and place, just like dizziness and fainting, various kinds of consciousness appear separately. Just like in a dream, without the sense consciousnesses such as the eye and objects such as form, only the alaya consciousness appears as the object and the subject's things. When analyzed with wisdom, when the parts of the coarse and subtle are separated, when it is invisible, the non-conceptual and non-appearing, the realization of the non-dual ultimate truth itself abides. When abiding in samadhi with the appearance of a pure world, the teaching of the omniscient wisdom will arise. The commentary on the Holy Lankavatara Sutra, the third chapter composed by the scholar Yeshe Palzang, from the analysis of the unreal completely conceptual, the explanation of the verses collected, is the fifth chapter on establishing the Madhyamaka that speaks of consciousness only. Then, again, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Mahamati asked the Bhagavan, saying: What does the Bhagavan mean by saying, "One should not take it according to the literal meaning"? What fault would occur if one took it according to the literal meaning? As it says in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra: "Noble son, the three non-natures," that is, in terms of the non-nature of all dharmas. Because of the non-nature of the completely conceptualized, there are no things. Because the dependent arising does not arise in various ways, there are no things. The ultimate non-nature is because of the non-nature of the two aspects. That is how it is understood. If one thinks that the completely conceptualized and the dependent arising have no nature, then this conceptualization will create the karma of harming the Dharma. Thus, the Holy Prajnaparamita

In the Seven Hundred Prajñāpāramitā, it is said by the Lord of Speech (Vāgīśvara): "The Tathāgata should be viewed as having no thingness." There, it is not that the Tathāgata should be regarded as being like the son of a barren woman, who has no thingness. A faithful bhikṣu should not enjoy what is given with faith, but one without faith may. There, the meaning should be explained specifically, and it should not be taken literally. Similarly, there are many hidden meanings, and they should be explained in accordance with wisdom and skillful means, for the benefit of sentient beings, and in accordance with the selflessness of dharma and persons. The Mahāyāna is different from this, for the sake of others, the mind of compassion should be placed nearby, and even if one enters the path of the ten non-virtuous actions, there will be no downfall, and merit will greatly increase. There are various kinds of Bodhisattva conduct, and various ways of completely maturing sentient beings. Therefore, in all cases, if it is permitted, one should follow the nature of things that turns into the benefit of oneself and others, and one should know how to do this, and not take it in a literal sense. To that, Mahāmati, what is sound? For example, this is the conceptualization that meets with words and letters. What arises from the combination of teeth, cheeks, palate, tongue, and lips, from the cause of the habit of conceptualizing mutual speech, is called sound. The expression of letters also arises in the same way from the power of previous habits, even for children. As the prognosticators say: Initially, when arranging diligently, sound flows above, and even without the habit of sound, it is obstructed in all places. Even for children, merely due to the power of previous habits, conceptualizations of sound and meaning as different arise. As the teacher Dharmakīrti confirmed: From beginningless habits, conceptualizations arise and exist, sound, meaning, and dharma are three kinds, existing in both existence and non-existence. Therefore, the Śabdikas shout like this: Sounds arise from conceptualizations, and conceptualizations also arise from sounds. Therefore, they have no connection whatsoever with external meanings.
