Etc. Various different things are due to the All-Knowing One observing various appearances. Like dizziness and fainting, due to the power of internal disturbances, various kinds of consciousness arise. Bhagavan, the so-called external objects, etc., the various characteristics of the subtle particles of matter, etc., that distinguish external objects, whatever completely distinguishes what is unreal, whatever has the characteristic of distinguishing, that is how it is. Whatever has the characteristic of falling into the aspects of existence and non-existence, that is how it is, it is the opposite of being within the scope of the non-duality of ultimate truth. If external objects are harmed by valid cognition, yet still engage in unreal complete distinction, similarly, the scope of the non-duality of ultimate truth also transcends sense consciousness and inference, partial causes and examples, and there also engage in unreal complete distinction, then, Bhagavan, what would it be like there? Attachment to the characteristics of ultimate truth refers to the self-nature of truly knowing the non-duality. Distinction refers to completely distinguishing what is unreal, because it is reversed from the ultimate truth. To impute permanence, beauty, ugliness, etc., to the various appearances of external objects refers to completely distinguishing what is unreal, it is the meaning of being attached to the object of apprehension of the power of others, like a dream, there is deception and non-deception. Viewing existence and non-existence is the view of the heretics. Individually distinguishing refers to distinguishing self and what belongs to self, as it is said: Unreal complete imputation is mind and mental factors, the three realms. The noble Mahamati also thinks so, if it is a universal distinction of the unreal from the cause, then it is consistent with the dharma of meaning and sound, how can there be no external object? Therefore, it will become a dissimilar cause, from what the All-Knowing One said, he also completely abandoned what was said. Mahamati, distinction has no arising or ceasing, because it cannot be expressed by that for the truth. Why is that? For example, existence and non-

From (understanding) that, no conceptualization arises, and external appearances of things do not exist, and understanding that one's own mind is merely an appearance. Children with great wisdom, falsely attribute their own minds to external objects in various ways, thereby making their thoughts flawed, and examine them through conceptualization. Because of attachment to the characteristics of various unreal conceptualized things, it is said that conceptualizations arising from history arise first. The unreal completely imputed nature spoken by the noble venerable Maitreya is: Unreal imputation exists, therefore both are neither existent nor nonexistent, emptiness also exists therein, and therein this also exists. Unreal imputation is the mind, and the mind-born three realms. This means that conceptualization arises from the aggregation of mind and mental factors. Just as internal confusion causes dizziness and fainting, various phenomena arise, therefore it is unreal completely imputed. It is empty of both, and emptiness also exists therein. It also exists therein, for children, this is unreal completely imputed. The so-called non-arising of conceptualization from existence and non-existence means that although it appears, it does not give rise to a mistaken form, this is the intention of the omniscient one. Because there is no form of duality, it does not arise like appearances in dreams, illusions, and cataracts. In the beginningless stream of mind, wherever arising, abiding, and ceasing occur, for all conceptualizations, the omniscient one has rationally proven that it is impossible to be related to different agents and actors. The so-called non-arising from existence and non-existence means that existence is actually existent, therefore it is impossible for the production imputed by Samkhya and others to arise. Non-existence also cannot become a thing, the so-called non-existence of things means doing nothing, which means the negation of action, and there are many ways of saying this. However, if it does not arise from existence and non-existence, then how does this operate? The omniscient one has proven that the objects of grasping and the grasped are also impossible, that is, the agent, action, and
