Moreover, in perfect wisdom, all are able to comprehend everything. Abundant learning is absent in anyone, and even if they have heard much, they lack wisdom. The mind is free from the exhaustion of sorrows, therefore, disturbances do not arise. In the second chapter of the 'Noble Lankavatara Sutra,' compiled and explained by the teacher Many Learned Yeshe Pal Zangpo, there are profound praises, a hundred verses of non-dual supplication and their hundred responses, as well as the complete understanding of the Alaya-vijnana, the establishment of emptiness, the examination of the Tathagatagarbha, the examination of cause and effect, the complete understanding of the meaning of words, and the examination of many scattered points of contention. With nine sub-chapters, the second chapter is also complete. Now, in the third chapter, the mind-made body arising from Samadhi is cultivated, and because external objects are meaningless, it is shown to be the nature of appearance. When observing coarse and subtle objects, such as houses, villages, and forests, they are empty; therefore, with the Dharma-nature of appearance, it is truly known that it exists everywhere. When such existence is present, on one atom, there are fields equal to the number of atoms; in those fields, there are inconceivable Buddhas, dwelling among the Bodhisattvas, practicing and observing the conduct of Bodhi. As it is said, this is the cause of arising. Thus, in all directions without exception, in the space of a hair's breadth, there are Buddhas equal to the measure of the three times, oceans of fields and oceans of kalpas, practicing and fully entering. These mind-made bodies, like the consciousness of the mind, are unimpeded anywhere. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and the Bodhisattvas, led by the noble assembly, have attained the Samadhi of swiftness like the mind. Thus, even in a fraction of an atom, everything appears instantaneously everywhere, like a reflection, in the manner of appearing in the three times. Just as in the water of a small vessel, cities and monasteries, immeasurable palaces, mountains, and many constellations of stars in the sky appear, so too, in the space of a single hair's breadth, there are many Buddhas. As many as the sands of the Ganges, so many are the fields, and those victorious ones are distinct, with different characteristics,

Those are not abiding in one direction, and those decaying things are not determined to abide in one direction. The appearance there also belongs to that itself, because the nature of decay is like that. Material forms, such as substances made from minute particles, which are completely conceived by others, are emptiness when differentiated. When divided by the order of colored and uncolored, moving and unmoving, obscured and unobscured, it is like houses, villages, and forests. Those that abide separately are also emptiness, like dreams and illusions. Thus, all the meditations and arising of all actions that are empty of the aspect of duality are realized by the all-knowing as the nature of non-duality. Then, the Bhagavan again said to the great Bodhisattva Mahasattva Mahamati: Mahamati, listen, I will explain the subtle nature of realizing the body of wisdom with wisdom. Mahamati, for the sake of mind, practice the thirty-seven limbs of enlightenment that are not common to the Shravakas. Those grounds obscure the uncommon qualities, that is, the uncommon qualities of generosity, ethics, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, skillful means, power, aspiration, and wisdom, which are stinginess, bad character, impatience, laziness, distraction, ignorance, lack of skillful means, lack of aspiration, lack of power, incomplete understanding, and from the perfection of generosity to the ultimate of all-knowing wisdom. Bodhisattvas are called superior in the eighth bhumi because they have mastered the Dharma, the seven bhumis are mind, and the eighth is without appearance. The two bhumis are places, and the remaining bhumis are my own. There, the noble Bodhisattvas, relying on dependent arising, are like illusions, and in the eighth bhumi, they realize no-birth. The powers of the seven bhumis are attached to the presence of discriminating consciousness and enter, just as the all-knowing one said in this very Lankavatara Sutra, after eliminating external objects, it is only consciousness.
