O! Whatever arises from the cause of self-origination is other-dependent. Just as the appearance of forms, etc., seen by those with cataracts, is because those with cataracts see those forms. Just as dreams and illusions, etc., accomplish various functions, similarly, the functions of the nature of tranquility and suffering, etc., also exist there. The conventional that does not arise from a cause is imputation itself, which is the meaning of the ignorant non-Buddhists saying that things with limbs arise from limbs, that is the meaning of what is said. "Imputation is said to be conventional." Thus it is said. That which is cut off is for the sake of cutting off the unarisen imputation. In order to eliminate afflictions, abandoning the nature of other-dependence, which is the conventional that arises in two aspects, is the realm of the noble ones, which is to truly realize the establishment of the ultimate truth as non-dual. The object of yogis, which is without appearance and truly realizes the ultimate truth as non-dual, is non-conceptual. Those who arise from that samadhi and abide in the samadhi with appearance, various things appear as one thing. The ultimate truth is also not separate from the various, just as the nature of the imputed thing is not separate from the other-dependent thing. Because there is no name for things like cloth, etc., apart from threads, etc. In any case, what is said to be one is not various, thus it is proclaimed. "Like those with cataracts, etc." That is, the consciousness that appears as forms in the order of coarse and fine, high and low, etc., of the external world, understands them as various. The object of various forms does not exist, because it does not exist, the knowledge of various is also not true, because it is without an object. However, due to the power of inner delusion, the confused consciousness appears in various aspects. When, because external objects do not exist, the form of cataracts is seen by the wisdom of non-form, and because it is only an appearance, it is also not without form, thus, the wise believe deeply from the perfectly established nature that there is no other-dependence, like the form seen by those with cataracts. In any case, the other-dependence of the two aspects does not

Doubting that "in a state of perfect purity and non-duality, there exists true awareness," the Omniscient One, with and without appearances, declared: Like gold, it is pure because it is free from impurities. Just as water is purified by removing turbidity, so too, apart from dependent origination, thoroughly examining what is observed is the meaning of what is called 'discriminative establishment.' What is observed has no substance. This is explained by way of discriminative establishment. Dependent origination exists. This means that dependent origination exists only in two forms, and there is no non-dualistic confusion. If one discriminates in this way, one will fall from the good path and become turbid. That is to say, error will enter the right path. To falsely attribute existence to dependent origination, and to deny what is observed and real existence, if what is observed does not actually exist, but dependent origination truly exists, then, if what is observed, such as cloth, etc., does not actually exist, but other causes, such as threads, etc., truly exist in ultimate truth, then in that case, it will be thought that what does not exist is a thing. Causes such as threads, etc., are empty because they are divided into parts, therefore, things, such as cloth, etc., will arise from what does not exist, that is to say, substances with limbs will arise from what does not exist. The completely imputed exists on substances such as threads, etc., becoming the upper width and length. The dependent origination that appears clearly from the aggregation of particles of the thread part, such as cloth, etc., is roughly observed. It arises from the association of name and characteristic. A characteristic is what is called unique, coarse, large, number, and size, etc. A name is what is called thread and cloth, etc. Therefore, it will arise from the association of name and characteristic. The other appearing form of the aggregation of particles, falsely considered as a unique characteristic, is the completely imputed itself. What is observed is completely unestablished; it does not arise from other things. That is to say, the dependent origination of substances with limbs, such as vases, etc., arises from other things. What is observed is two constant particles.
