Due to the nature of craving for existence, desiring that, with the nature of continuity, consciousness arises to connect with other migrations. Where there is one that is inseparable, there are the other elements. Therefore, the cause of the transformations of the elements that abide in the elements such as earth, the nature of the great elements appearing separately, the cause of distinctions such as moisture, the aggregates of consciousness, etc., exist, but the eternal particles of the great elements such as earth, which are conceived by non-Buddhists, do not exist. How do those that are universally conceived by non-Buddhists not exist? Thus asked. Why is that? An object is the nature of the meaning of a word. There, a sign is a manifest mark, that is, a mark of entering, such as class, quality, and action, etc. Because this acts as a sign, this is a characteristic. That also holds the objects to be grasped, such as matter. Shape is large and small, round, and so on. Action is the nature of lifting and so on. Combination is connection. From subtle particles, substances with limbs arise in connection with action, that is, the sequence of two particles and three particles, etc., is initially due to being connected with action. Substance is the creation of other substances, and qualities also create other qualities. Here, the observation made on the characteristics of things, such as having horns, having humps, having dewlaps, and having tails, is a sign of a cow. There are two kinds of things: material things and general things. Among them, only the cow and the characteristics of the nature of the material parts of the cow and the connection are the cause, so it is a thing. The nature of the shape of the substance and the signs of the limbs, such as horns, should be grasped. The cause of two particles and three particles, etc., is made in the order of similar kinds, and those who have life are called sentient beings, which is the tenet of others, and is the front of the all-knowing one. The constant one, because it is unborn, like the son of a barren woman, etc., there is no thing, it dwells in the rear. Not from those who do not have signs, this speaker, refers to the formless ones, who have measure, etc.

Those characteristics of self-nature that cannot be grasped, saying that they are not the authors of entities, is the view of the heretics. The so-called "mutually incompatible" refers to the different characteristics of conceptual thoughts, such as hardness and wetness. The so-called "abandoning things with and without" refers to the place where there are conceptual thoughts of both existence and non-existence, there is the saying of distinguishing numbers. That is beyond the entanglement of thoughts and conceptual thoughts, and truly realizes non-duality. The so-called "not another place" is because the mirror is not other, so the various images that appear and so on are not outside. Realizing the wisdom of the noble ones is to truly realize non-duality. Extreme ignorance refers to conceptual thoughts on the aggregates, which are obstacles and confusion. The so-called "completely reversed" means abandoning. The so-called "extremely secluded" refers to being separated from the conceptual thoughts of the appearance of the grasper and the grasped, and the mirror of the ultimate truth of non-duality should be shown. If, like the son of a barren woman, there is only truth and nothing else, then truth, what dharma should be shown to be secluded? The answer is that seclusion is that the Blessed One clearly showed the Dharma, so how can other Mahayana always be reasonable? The so-called seclusion is nothing, this is not the meaning of seclusion. The so-called four kinds of Nirvana, the Nirvana of things being empty of self-nature refers to, when yogis obtain the yoga of tranquility and the same taste, at that time, my and my pus and blood become Nirvana without things by self-nature. Although it cannot be said to be existent and non-existent, tranquility is constant, this is the difference. The Nirvana of emptiness of things of various natures refers to, in the common yoga of Brahma, the emptiness of self-nature in which the characteristics appear in various ways, that is Nirvana, understand it this way. Therefore it is said: This of Brahma is transformed by sound, abides in the power of sound, and also arises only from sound, and becomes tranquil in it. Like this. The Nirvana understood by the emptiness of things of one's own nature refers to, when self-nature is held by the person, by the emptiness of things of one's own nature.
