I say again, how is it undoubtedly that things like Gandharva cities, dizziness, fire wheels, reflections, water bubbles, dreams, illusions, echoes, etc., which appear as phenomena, deceive or do not deceive in terms of valid cognition and object of valid cognition? For example, even though there is no external object in a dream, washing with the water of the thirst-afflicted mirage, drinking, etc., are not deceptive, and the ocean, etc., are not deceptive. Likewise, even in the state of sleep-induced confusion, it is determined that there is deception and non-deception due to various confusions. Therefore, for those who use conventional terms, valid cognition and object of valid cognition are established. That which is called non-conceptual, according to how the conditions are, is said to be the clear and manifest conceptualization of the All-Knowing One, as established by Master Dharmakirti: Just as it is seen, these are the cognitions of the grasped and the grasper. If there is nothing, what is valid cognition, and what is the object and result to be established? Thus, the accumulation of causes of beings' own habits is samsara, the accumulation of causes of self and other, the power of the continuum of self and other, the difference of conditions, and the karma arising from the seeds of confusion are the confusion of various appearances, like fainting, etc. Just as good dreams and bad dreams ripen, the karma and result that appear as merit and demerit are definitely related. Therefore, the samsara of beings arises, and it should be examined with wisdom. Having understood impermanence, suffering, impurity, and emptiness, and having meditated on them, by reversing from thought and appearance, in the non-dual ultimate truth, in the habit of self-luminous nature, when stirred by the habit of great compassion, one becomes omniscient. Therefore, in this way, on the continuum of mind itself, all afflictions and
