and so on. The gods of the Four Great Kings, the sons of the Ishvara gods, the sons of the gods of the Form Realm, the Dragon Kings, the Kumbhandas, the Gandharvas, the Asuras, the Garudas, and the kings of men. Furthermore, there are six kinds of retinues: the retinue of the Bhagavan Ratnakara, the retinue manifested by the body, those who came from the dragon palace, the retinue that emerged from the earth, the Bodhisattva Sangsangpo's sound, and the retinue of Samantabhadra. These retinues are all different according to the distinctions of hearing the Dharma, realizing the Dharma, practicing the Dharma, upholding the Dharma, teaching the Dharma, and understanding the Dharma. The reason why the retinue of the Pratyekabuddhas is not mentioned here is that the Pratyekabuddhas appear when the Buddhas do not reside in the world. The gods of the Formless Realm also listen to the Dharma and gather as a retinue, knowing through the light of the Tathagata, but because the senses of that realm are not mature, they are not illuminated by the light, so they are not mentioned here. The sentient beings of hell are not mentioned here because they do not have the fortune, so they are not mentioned here. By the blessing of the Tathagata, when explaining the door of the Dharani, the evil destinies are pacified, so they are also mentioned among them. The retinues not mentioned above will also be shown below. The order of these retinues is generally fourfold: the retinue of the Shravakas, the retinue of the Bodhisattvas, and the retinue of kings and kings. If divided into inner and outer, the retinues of the Shravakas and Bodhisattvas are the inner retinues. The eight classes of gods and demons are the outer retinues. The previously mentioned retinue of Bodhisattvas and Shravakas is for four reasons: the Shravakas who have renounced resemble the attire of the Tathagata, so the Shravakas are mentioned first; the Shravakas are always in attendance and remain nearby, not far away, so they are mentioned first; the renunciates are mentioned first from the perspective of upholding the precepts; and the householders show respect to the renunciates, so they are mentioned first. Furthermore, there are four kinds of retinue perfection: perfection of number, perfection of accomplishment,

Perfectly endowed and conduct perfectly endowed. The perfection of number is said to be the innumerable retinue. The perfection of practice is that the Shravakas practice the Small Vehicle, and the Bodhisattvas practice the Great Vehicle and do the benefit of others. The perfection of qualities is that the Shravakas show the meaning of words in sixteen ways, and the Bodhisattvas show it in thirteen ways. The perfection of conduct is that the Blessed One is surrounded by retinues and dwells beautifully in the manner of paying homage with respect. Among them, the meaning of the word Bhikshu has three aspects: destroying demons and heretics, entering the Sangha by begging and guarding the precepts, and living by pure livelihood and abiding purely in the three doors of body, speech, and mind. The Sangha's Bhikshus are four or more, meaning that they are numerous and harmonious, and do not mix castes and doctrines. Greatness means having greatness such as Dharma and number, and is special because it is superior to those who are learning and those who are not learning, and it is great in merit because it sees wisdom and prajna, and it is great in number because twelve thousand people reside there. The only method is a synonym for dwelling in one place. From "all are Arhats" to "completely free" is said to be the perfection of qualities, and the Sutra Pitaka speaks of sixteen kinds of word meanings. In general, it can be summarized into three types: the Sutra in which the previous sentence explains the next sentence, the display of common and individual characteristics, and the Sutra that summarizes the meaning. The previous sentence indicates the next sentence, which means that the previous sentence produces the next sentence, or the next sentence is explained by the previous sentence, such as the display of "the one who has exhausted the outflows is the Arhat," and the explanation of "the one who has exhausted all the afflictions is the Arhat." The so-called "exhaustion of outflows" means that afflictions manifest and flow into all existences, hence it is called "outflow." Both manifestation and existence in the form of habitual tendencies are generally called "outflow," which are the three outflows of desire, existence, and ignorance. It is abandoned by seeing and meditating on the Four Truths.
