Combined with the Buddha's abiding. The following three verses are combined with the place where beings of the five realms fall into the abyss. The following five verses show the metaphor of the meaning of uprightness. In the sutra, it says, "Liberated from the three realms," up to "the irreversible Bodhisattva," it shows the metaphor of the means of uprightness, as well as generating compassion for those who suffer, showing that one is not alarmed even when proclaiming great meaning, showing that oneself arises from the realm of the three realms, and showing that that realm is the realm of the Buddha. The solitary place of the forest is combined with the garden of many virtues. Irreversible means abiding in the first ground and above. Six knowledges refer to Arhats. The three knowledges are the memory of past lives, the divine eye, and the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements. In the sutra, it says, "The wise have this excellent metaphor," up to "except for the skillful among men." This is praising and extolling the Mahayana as supreme, and that Mahayana, the first verse shows that the Mahayana has four virtues. The next verse shows the praise of the noble ones. The next verse shows that it has pure enjoyment. The next two verses show that it is the best of joy. Among them, the four virtues are that it is supreme, special, completely pure without obscuration, and the most supreme, unparalleled. The vast object is the place of the hand, which is the praise of the noble ones. If the noble ones are like this, what about the inferior ones? It should be combined like this. Meditation, strength, and samadhi show that it is the pure place of enjoyment. Day and night, years and kalpas pass, which means that abiding in this one Mahayana is the supreme of abiding, meaning that one will touch the essence of unsurpassed Bodhi. The above shows that all teachings, practices, and results are in accordance with the Mahayana. Except for the skillful among men, it means that the Tathagata has skillful means, and in order to gradually guide beings into the one Mahayana, he dances with skillful means in any place in the ten directions, but apart from that, he does not preach the two vehicles and the three vehicles.

do. The sutra says: From "Your father, my son you" to "Subduing many Bodhisattvas," it is said that from here onwards, faith should be generated. Previously, fourteen verses explained entering the provisional and definitive meanings. After that, sixty-six verses explained the places to be learned. First, with the analogy of fatherly love for a son, like liberating from suffering, the definitive and provisional meanings are actually shown. Thus, even though I have taught nirvana, it means that the Bhagavan has already taught the true meaning in a provisional way, but that is not the great nirvana. In order for me to teach nirvana itself, the definitive meaning is taught. "Listen, all, to my way of attaining Buddhahood!" That is it. The way is the Dharmakaya itself. Because it is free from the two obscurations, the Great Nirvana Sutra says: From "Subduing many Bodhisattvas" to "Practicing the paths and becoming liberated," in this way, in order to show the provisional and definitive meanings, it is also shown in conjunction with the Four Noble Truths, so these verses were spoken. The first two verses show the Truth of Suffering. The subsequent half and two verses show the Truth of Origin. Again, half and two verses show the Truth of Cessation. The subsequent one verse shows the Truth of the Path. Becoming attached to evil desire, that is, taking delight in external and internal objects, shows that all of that is suffering itself, therefore, the worldly truth is not abandoned, but is absorbed into the true truth itself. From "Those who do not know suffering" etc., it shows the Truth of Origin, meaning that the cause of suffering arises from the origin. From "The arising of suffering is the accumulation of desire" etc., it shows the Truth of Cessation, meaning that if the root of the arising of suffering is desire, then that desire should also be sought through cessation. From "By what is liberation" etc., it shows the Truth of the Path, meaning that cessation is accomplished by practicing the path. The sutra says: From "What is liberation, Shariputra?" to "In order to be born happily in this world," it shows the Four Truths of the provisional and definitive meanings, and this is also
