Up to this point, these three verses indicate that those who possess a joyful mind will definitely attain Buddhahood. Two and a half lines explain that the teachings of the Buddhas are different, and one cannot understand them without learning. Two and a half lines explain that generating a joyful mind will lead to the attainment of Buddhahood. The commentary on the "Lotus Sutra," Volume Five. From here onwards is the Chapter of Parables, which is divided into three aspects: why it is taught, the naming of the chapter, and the dispelling of doubts. The reason for teaching is further divided into two: Shariputra, with his sharp faculties, understands upon hearing, while the four types of people with middling faculties understand through parables. Therefore, this Chapter of Parables is taught for the sake of those with middling faculties. The commentary states that from here onwards, for the sake of the seven types of beings who possess afflictions, seven types of parables are taught as antidotes to the seven types of pride and the three afflictions. The naming of the chapter is the Chapter of Parables. The term "parable" means that through worldly manifestations, one comes to understand the profound meaning that transcends the world. Regarding the dispelling of doubts, from the question, since here the meaning is shown through parables, the chapter can be called the Chapter of Parables, but if the previous chapters only teach the Dharma, can they be called the Chapter of Dharma? The answer is that although the scriptures are connected before and after, the basis for naming them is different. "Method" means to differentiate specifically. "Parable" is general and without difference. From the sutra, from "Then, the venerable Shariputra" to "obtained joy," from here onwards, this chapter is generally divided into two aspects: Shariputra hearing the Dharma, rejoicing, and receiving prophecy, and teaching the Dharma to those with middling faculties through parables. From here onwards, Shariputra's joy after hearing the Dharma is divided into two: stating it in single sentences and repeating it in verses. Having heard the Dharma that does not contradict one's mind as desired, one feels joy and delight. Because the explanation is clear, one joins one's palms. Because one wants to receive an answer to the explanation, one looks at the Bhagavan. A sound like this refers to the Mahayana scriptures. Having heard what one had not heard before, one feels great wonder. Furthermore, one obtains joy through three aspects of meaning.

. Having heard from the Buddha, being extremely happy in mind and realizing that it is not a demon, one feels joy; having obtained one truth, knowing that the previous three were merely shown as a means, one feels joy; having heard that the Buddha also prophesied that one hundred and thirteen Arhats would become Buddhas, one obtains joy. Therefore, in the sutra, from "Why is that?" to "became completely grieved," the following explains why joy is shown. There are also four aspects to this: being grieved by the loss of the great Dharma, regretting being led out by the Lesser Vehicle, joy from the exhaustion of sorrow upon hearing, and realizing that the sons of the Buddha have attained enlightenment. This shows being grieved by the loss of the great Dharma, thinking that although we previously heard the prophecy of the Bodhisattva, we did not receive the prophecy, and thus we were grieved; similarly, we were grieved by the loss of the Tathagata's wisdom and vision. In the sutra, from "Bhagavan" to "practice with abandonment," it shows regret for being led out by the Lesser Vehicle, and there are two aspects to this: regretting being in a young state and regretting becoming perverse. The realm of Dharma is the very truth of selflessness in individuals. If Bodhisattvas and ourselves enter into it equally, why does the Bhagavan regret that we were led out by the Lesser Vehicle? In the sutra, from "Bhagavan" to "think in this way," here it shows my regret, and "fault" refers to sin. In the sutra, from "Why is that?" to "will be abandoned," it shows the reason why, which is the cause of striving for unsurpassed enlightenment, the aspects of enlightenment, the perfections, the superknowledges, and the complete maturation of sentient beings. Abiding means hope, therefore, if we abide with a mind of hope in what has become the cause of unsurpassed enlightenment, then we will be abandoned by the Dharma of the Great Vehicle, because we have no hope, so we have not been placed in the Great Vehicle, thinking in this way, we regret. There are three aspects to the mind of enlightenment: arising from compounded things, seeking enlightenment, and being extremely concerned for sentient beings. In the sutra, from "Bhagavan
