Return. Wasting means wasting on the ground of non-retrogression, those who generate the mind waste the Dharma, and the Shravakas waste the great Bodhi. It is stated in the Sutra that from "That is sentient beings" to "will attain Bodhi," it also shows that I rely on this Dharma, and all Dharmas are the same. Only the Buddha possesses the power of knowing all kinds, knowing the various faculties of sentient beings, and knowing that the power of wisdom is very devoted, and what is devoted is devotion to practice. Possessing the power of knowing all kinds of realms, he knows the nature. In order to generate faith in beings belonging to the uncertain lineage realm, the three vehicles previously spoken of were merely expedient, and later the ultimate vehicle was proclaimed. In order for each individual to attain the one vehicle of the Buddha and attain the wisdom of all-knowing, therefore, the Sutra starts from the one vehicle and proclaims it to the end of all-knowing. It is stated in the Sutra that from "Shariputra" to "If there is not even the two vehicles, what to mention the three vehicles," it shows that if there is not even the second vehicle of the Pratyekabuddha, what to mention the third vehicle of the Shravaka. It is stated in the Sutra that in order to want the sheep cart, the deer cart, and the elephant cart, coming out of the burning house only eliminates the two vehicles, but does not eliminate the elephant vehicle, therefore, these two vehicles have no Nirvana,

It is heard from the teaching of the profound Dharma. What are the Dharmas? They are the explanation of various practices, the demonstration of the different forms of cause and basis, and the skillful means shown by the object of focus and the definitive words. What is such a Dharma? If asked what it relies on, it is said: for the sake of one great deed. What is the nature of Dharma? It is to abide in the One Vehicle, and like the faculties of sentient beings, all have the nature of Buddha, abiding in the Dharma of the Buddha. What is such a nature? It is to eliminate the nature of the Two Vehicles, and only have the nature of the One Vehicle. What is said in this way is the equality of the Dharmakaya of all Buddhas, the Blessed Ones. In the Sutra, from "However, the Tathagata" to "if it occurs in the turbidity of life," here the true nature is shown. From here onwards, the four doubts are explained, and the meaning is shown in many ways. What are the four doubts? When will it be taught, how to know that it is under the influence of pride, how to become a vessel of the teachings, and how not to become false, these are the four. Here, the elimination of the first doubt is shown. In the commentary, at what time will the Buddha, the Blessed One, teach what is shown as a mere expedient? At what time will the Buddha, the Blessed One, first teach the Two Vehicles as a mere expedient, and later teach the One Vehicle as the true one? There are also two aspects to what is said: first, the time when the five turbidities occur is shown, and later, why it is taught, that is, there are also five kinds of turbidity. Showing the name, showing the nature, the antidote, the establishment, the form, and one encompassing the other, these are the five. Among them, showing the name is turbidity, and turbidity means impurity. For example, unclean food with dirt is dirty and called turbidity. In short, at the beginning of a kalpa, the three kalpas gradually decline, the afflictions gradually decrease, sentient beings tend to virtue, wrong views decrease, so the life force gradually increases, good things gradually increase, sentient beings have no suffering, and the time when the Buddhas' incarnations have not appeared in the world is called pure.

When the Buddha incarnates and appears in the world, it is close to the time when the kalpa declines, and the three minor calamities will gradually occur. Afflictions will also become more and more intense, sentient beings will also be fond of evil, attachment to external objects will become deeper and deeper, and lifespans will become shorter and shorter, and will tend towards evil and impure times, which is called the turbid age. Five refers to the representation of numbers. Regarding its characteristics, the commentary says that people nowadays have extremely short lifespans and do not live beyond one hundred years, which is called the turbidity of lifespan. The alaya consciousness produces different karmas due to the power of habits, which is the characteristic of lifespan. The power of the fruits of virtuous deeds weakens, and lifespans become shorter and shorter, which is caused by the karma of killing. Sentient beings do not recognize their parents, do not recognize shramanas and brahmins, do not recognize gurus, do not recognize the Dharma, are not afraid of the karmic consequences of this life and the next, do not give alms, do not perform meritorious deeds, do not keep precepts, in short, commit evil and do not do good, which is called the turbidity of sentient beings. Sentient beings are attached to unlawful things, give alms of weapons and instruments that harm sentient beings, like to fight, practice falsehood and deception, hold wrong views, and practice non-virtuous Dharma, which is called the turbidity of afflictions. Apart from the five wrong views, all afflictions and near afflictions are the characteristics of the turbidity of afflictions. Giving alms of weapons of unlawful greed, etc., causing people to kill each other, being attached to wealth and giving alms of weapons, becoming the root of strife. Furthermore, afflictions and near afflictions that belong to evil and unwholesome Dharma, afflictions arise due to the power of habits, the true Dharma declines in the world, merely pursuing illusory images, and wrong views arise, which is called the turbidity of views. Heretical wrong views increase, and famines, plagues, and wars occur, which is called the turbidity of the kalpa. The antidote to this is to practice
