It shows thirteen aspects: being born in the realm of Tushita, descending from that heavenly realm, entering the womb, being born, becoming a youth, learning all the disciplines, showing various plays and amusements in the pleasure garden, renouncing, universally showing ascetic practices, going to the Bodhi tree, manifestly attaining enlightenment, turning the wheel of Dharma, and showing complete extinction. In the Sutra Unraveling the Knots, it shows eleven aspects: entering the womb, being born, growing up, enjoying sensual pleasures, renouncing, practicing asceticism, going to the Bodhi tree, subduing the Maras, manifestly attaining enlightenment, turning the wheel of Dharma, and completely passing into Nirvana. In the Profound Meaning Unraveling Sutra, it also shows twelve aspects, which are mostly the same as those mentioned in the Sutra Unraveling the Knots, with only slight differences, namely: again, adding dwelling in the womb, supplementing with the aspect of great renunciation, and the aspects of going to the Bodhi tree and subduing the Maras. Here, the sutra does not show seven aspects, so from the sutras that mention dwelling in the heavenly realm, dwelling in the womb, turning the wheel of Dharma, and completely passing into Nirvana, it is also shown, thus making eleven aspects, to explain this sutra. Among them, the so-called dwelling in the heavenly realm refers to the Tushita chapter in the Great Adornment Sutra, where the Bhagavan said to the monks: What is the Great Adornment Sutra? It is like this: the Bodhisattva dwells in the Tushita palace, constantly showing offerings to all the great powerful ones, from there widely proclaiming, until it is widely elaborated. Furthermore, in the Great Nirvana Sutra, it is said that the gods of Tushita are the most excellent in the desire realm, because the lower gods are associated with carelessness, and the higher gods are unclear and dull, so they give alms and keep the precepts.
