From the perspective of the ground, it is like abandoning what exists on the root. Without fully distinguishing the nature of the meaning of the three, such as the Right Friend Already Subdued, if the first ground abandons the faults that exist like on the skin, it is the Right Friend Already Subdued, and in order to fully clarify the meaning of the smallness of decline and strength from the beginning, because it abandons what exists like on the skin, it is said that the first and second are completely distinguished. The second is the eighth ground abandoning the faults that exist like on the marrow, in order to clarify the extremely subtle meaning, because it abandons what exists like on the marrow, it is said that the third is completely distinguished. Just as there are two explanations for what is said to be abandoned, the request and prayer also need to have two necessities, which should be understood as stated in the answer. Whatever abandons the faults that exist like on the root, that is what I said is the state of completely abandoning all habitual tendencies, which is the Buddha-ground, thus showing the second kind of abandonment that exists like on the root, but it is not shown separately. That is what is said, from the perspective of the obscuration of knowledge, the faults that exist like on the root are extremely subtle, so they are only abandoned and exhausted at the time of the path of liberation. This state does not separately show the meaning of being free from the faults of the three habitual tendencies, but generally in the abode of the Buddha It is fully shown to abandon the seeds of the three habitual tendencies forever. From the Sutra of Separating the Boundaries, it says: How many kinds of faults are abandoned, and is it called abandoning those afflictions? The Blessed One said to Avalokiteśvara: There are three kinds, the first is abandoning the faults that exist like on the skin. The second is abandoning the faults that exist like on the marrow. The third is abandoning the faults that exist like on the root. Whatever abandons all afflictions, that is only shown in the Buddha-ground in three kalpas. From the Profound Unbinding of Intentions Sutra, it says: How many kinds are abandoned like existing on the root, and is it called abandoning afflictions?

Venerable one, the Blessed One said: By abandoning the two aspects like the feet, one will be able to abandon all afflictions. Avalokiteshvara, the lord, initially abandoning the obscuration like the skin, will be free from the first fault. Thereafter, by abandoning the obscuration like the bark, one will be free from the second fault. Thereafter, by abandoning the obscuration like the feet, one will be free from the third fault. I, whose afflictions are all exhausted, will need three kalpas on the Buddha-ground, as it is declared. The reason why these two sutras are different from this sutra is that the thoughts of the translators are different. If we speak of another aspect, these three evil destinies are the three evil destinies of the obscuration of afflictions. What exists on the feet is declared on the Buddha-ground because it is for abandoning the evil destinies of the path of liberation. Or, the three evil destinies spoken of here, the first two belong to the obscuration of afflictions, and the third belongs to the obscuration of knowledge, for the sake of declaring this, as it is said in the treatise "Yogacarabhumi-sastra". If asked whether these two obscurations each have latent predispositions and evil destinies, why is it that in this sutra, when explaining latent predispositions, only afflictions are taken, and when explaining evil destinies, only knowledge is taken? What is the intention behind this? The answer is: In the teachings of the noble ones, there are many doors for teaching the Dharma, and the first one is made only from this, which is the ultimate door. As in the treatise "Yogacarabhumi-sastra", the two kinds of evil destinies of the obscuration of afflictions and the three kinds of evil destinies of the obscuration of knowledge are separately distinguished and declared, as it has been said before, it should be understood. The second is the door of mutual revelation, like in this sutra, by the door of explaining latent predispositions, it is only shown to be an affliction, and it is not shown to be knowledge, so it is shown by one showing the other, so it is shown that there are three kinds of obscurations of knowledge. The evil destiny of

When explaining the meaning, it is pointed out that it is only the obscuration of knowledge, and this also indicates the other through one, thus also pointing out that the afflictive obscuration also has three forms. It is pointed out that each of these two obscurations also has three bad rebirths, which should be understood as explained in the treatise *Yogācārabhūmi*, where it should be examined and its meaning understood. Chapter Sixty-Five. Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva again asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, how many countless kalpas will it take to completely abandon these bad rebirths? From here onwards is the third part, explaining the differences in the time of abandoning bad rebirths. This also includes the request and the explanation of the answer, and this is the request for the request. The Blessed One said to Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva: Son of good family, it will take three countless kalpas, or countless kalpas, such as years, months, half months, days,
