Showing the Obscurations. From the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only. As for being ignorant of the power of immeasurable Dharma teaching, and the immeasurable words and letters of the Dharma, and the ever-increasing wisdom and eloquence dharani, the power of Dharma teaching and immeasurable dharani is to individually and correctly understand, because by obtaining power over the dharani to be spoken, all meanings are shown within one meaning. The power of the immeasurable words and letters of the Dharma dharani is to individually and correctly understand the Dharma, because by obtaining power over the dharani that speaks, all names and words and letters are shown within the name and words and letters of one letter. The power of the ever-increasing wisdom and eloquence dharani is to individually and correctly understand the definitive words, because by obtaining power over the dharani that mutually explains the definitive words with one sound, all sounds are shown within one sound. As for being ignorant of the power of eloquence, the power of eloquence is to individually and correctly understand eloquence, because one is skilled in understanding the faculties and proficient in teaching the Dharma. As for being ignorant of the powers, one should know that what obscures these four powers is included in the obscuration of the ninth ground. Among the ten obscurations, this is the ninth, the obscuration of not being willing to benefit others, because in this way, one aspect born together from the obscuration of knowledge is unwilling to strive in the activity of benefiting sentient beings, and is willing to strive for one's own benefit. Therefore, it obscures the four individually correct understandings of the ninth ground. It is said in the sutra that upon entering the ninth ground, it is completely abandoned. The tenth ground has two kinds of ignorance: ignorance of great superknowledge and ignorance of comprehending the extremely subtle secret following. The so-called unfavorable aspect of its bad situation refers to the showing of the obscuration of the tenth Dharma Cloud ground. From the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only. Among them, the so-called ignorance of great superknowledge, here refers to the activity of

That which obstructs the work of things. The so-called complete bewilderment with understanding of the extremely subtle following of secrets, refers to that which here obstructs the wisdom cloud of the great Dharma and that which is to be completely hidden. Among the ten obscurations, it is the obscuration of not having become master of the dharmas. Thus, one aspect born from the obscuration of knowable things does not allow mastery over the dharmas. It obstructs the wisdom cloud of the great Dharma of the tenth ground and the objects of action arising from complete concealment, and when entering the tenth ground, it is permanently abandoned. There are two kinds of complete bewilderment on the Tathagata ground, namely, complete bewilderment with extremely subtle attachment to all knowable things, and subtle obstruction complete bewilderment, and its unfavorable aspects of bad states, this is the eleventh, the display of the obscuration of the Tathagata ground. In the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only, the so-called complete bewilderment with extremely subtle attachment to all knowable things refers to what is shown here as the subtle obscuration of knowable things. The so-called extremely subtle obstruction complete bewilderment refers to all the seeds of the afflictive obscuration that arise naturally, therefore, in the Compendium of Abhidharma, it says that when enlightenment is attained, the afflictive obscuration and the obscuration of knowable things are simultaneously abandoned, and one becomes an Arhat and a Tathagata, in order to attain great Nirvana and great Bodhi. Among the ten obscurations, this is a separate indication of the place where one has reached a single obscuration. Therefore, in the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only, it says that although one has attained mastery over the Dharma on this ground, one is not called extremely ultimate because of the remaining obscurations, here one possesses the subtle obscuration of knowable things that are co-emergent, and possesses the seeds of the afflictive obscuration that arise naturally, when the vajra-like samadhi manifests, then these are simultaneously abandoned and one enters the Tathagata ground, as is shown. Extensive differentiation is characteristic
