That which is called "seven" is to be known as the second part, the conclusion. A Bodhisattva who abandons the extremes of imputation and denigration, and definitely arises through the Middle Way, that is called wisdom. From here on, it shows the seven aspects of the sixth, wisdom. This is also shown through explanation and conclusion. The explanation also shows the seven aspects, dividing them into seven, this is the showing of the first aspect. Among them, abandoning the extremes of imputation and denigration, and definitely arising through the Middle Way, this is from Vasubandhu's commentary on the *Mahāyānasaṃgraha*, that is, because of firmly establishing the non-existent and causeless as truly existent, it is called imputation. Because of firmly denying the cause of existence and non-existence, saying "it does not exist," it is called denigration. Thus, both imputation and denigration are said to be extremes. An extreme is the meaning of falling, because once these two arise, one will degenerate from the Middle Way. The fully conceptualized only has imputation, there is no denigration, because there is nothing. Thus, depending on existence, denigration arises. The other-powered does not impute, because self-nature exists. Like this, from non-existence, imputation arises. It does not denigrate, because it only exists as mere false discrimination. The fully accomplished does not impute, because it is truly existent. Only denigration exists, thus it is said.

Therefore, everything has been explained. Because of existence, because of non-existence, because of existence, this is the Middle Way. Thus it is said. Extensive explanation of the Middle Way: The nature of the Middle Way should be understood as it has been explained. With wisdom, one attains the gate of liberation in this way: Understanding emptiness and the gate of signlessness, and the three gates of liberation, knowing them thoroughly as they truly are. The second characteristic is the wisdom that explains the three gates of liberation. The meaning of the three gates of liberation is as explained in the treatises. Therefore, from that, it is said that the gate of liberation is like this: the three liberations. Which are the gate of emptiness liberation, the gate of signlessness liberation, and the gate of wishlessness liberation? Among them, emptiness is of two kinds: the knowable and the knowing. The knowable is like this: the phenomena that sentient beings apprehend with the nature of imputation, for these two natures of imputation, the absence of self-nature, and the absence of self, which is different from this, what is it that is free from both? Among them, for phenomena, what is the absence of self-nature of imputation, that is the existence of selflessness; for phenomena, what is the existence of selflessness, that is the nature of imputation. What is the nature that is neither existence nor non-existence, that is the object of non-conceptual activity.

Not observing self in actions, and not observing the dharma of conventional discrimination in characteristics, what is that? Meditating without characteristics is like this: observing the absence of sentient beings and self in actions, and observing the absence of the dharma of conventional discrimination and self in characteristics, and contemplating the antidote as an antidote, peace and excellence, and definite departure, what is that? Meditating without aspiration is like this: contemplating impermanence, suffering, impurity, like a disease, like a boil, like an arrow, what is that? With the consciousness that contemplates the cause, origin, arising, and condition, with what does one contemplate the path of emptiness as the path, reason, accomplishment, and definite departure, this is also contemplating emptiness. With the consciousness that contemplates the path without characteristics as the path, reason, accomplishment, and definite departure, this is also contemplating without characteristics. With the consciousness that contemplates the path without aspiration as the path, reason, accomplishment, and definite departure, this is also contemplating without aspiration. If one says emptiness, without characteristics, and without aspiration without distinction to everything, then, one should know that the wisdom arising from hearing, thinking, and meditating is worldly and beyond worldly. If one says the samadhi of emptiness, without characteristics, and without aspiration, then, one should know that the wisdom arising only from meditation belongs to the worldly and beyond worldly. If one says that emptiness, without characteristics, and without aspiration are the doors of liberation, then, one should know that it is only beyond worldly. Thus it is said, to explain extensively, one should know as it is said in the display of characteristics. The meaning of nature and thought is like this: by saying that one truly knows the three natures of the completely imputed, the dependent, and the perfectly established, it shows the three natures, thus, it is separated from the wisdom that clings to the two extremes.
