It is said in the sutra that one should know not to abandon virtue and to practice it in order. The commentary by Master Asanga says: "Armor-like diligence is like this: at the very beginning, one strives, saying, 'I will also do this.' This shows the words 'having power.' Application diligence is like this: application is diligently practicing as one thinks. This shows the words 'having diligence' in the sutra. Not turning away and not being discouraged from one's own fatigue and suffering is called 'not being timid.' Not being moved by the harm done by others is called 'not being disturbed.' Not completely abandoning virtue and striving for virtue until enlightenment is called 'not being content.'" It is said in the treatise *Yogācārabhūmi*: "The initiation of diligence should also be known to have five aspects, namely, armor-like diligence, application diligence, non-timid diligence, unwavering diligence, and insatiable diligence. Among these, at the very beginning, one generates a strong desire. After that, according to one's wishes, one engages in a manifest, joyful, and stable application. After that, in order to obtain vast dharmas, one does not spare oneself, nor does one become timid. After that, one also endures harms such as cold. One does not settle for little, but abides with the intention of wanting even more excellent qualities than the higher ones." This is called the seven characteristics of pure diligence, which is the conclusion of the explanation of the second set of seven characteristics. Volume Sixty-Two. A bodhisattva meditates on the samādhi that is well understood with signs, meditates on the samādhi that is completely perfect, and meditates on the samādhi that possesses both aspects. From this point on, the fifth set of seven characteristics of meditation is shown. This is also a separate explanation of the two aspects.

The explanation of the conclusion and summary: This explains the first three dhyanas. The samadhi that perfectly realizes the nature of conventional truth is called perfectly realizing the characteristics. The samadhi that focuses on the object of complete Suchness, because the object cannot be obtained from the object, is called complete. The samadhi that focuses on both the conventional and ultimate objects is called the aspect of both. The samadhi that possesses forceful entry is called a meditator, the samadhi that does not abide is called a meditator, and the samadhi that possesses extreme cultivation is called a meditator. This explains the fourth, fifth, and sixth characteristics. In order, it should be combined with the samadhi that is equivalent to the three: application, true wisdom, and subsequent wisdom. Among them, the knowledge of application is the defiled attention, and it is only the samadhi that has become the place of forceful entry, so it is called forceful entry. The root wisdom is the samadhi that does not rely on the place of different objects, so it is called non-abiding. Subsequent wisdom is the samadhi that becomes the basis for accomplishing various behaviors, so it is called extremely cultivated. The meditator who possesses the immeasurable samadhi of hearing, object, and complete cultivation of the Bodhisattva Pitaka, this explains the seventh characteristic, which explains the wisdom at the time of application. Among them, being called the Bodhisattva Pitaka is like the Mahayana scriptures, so the samadhi that can hear this scripture actually explains the wisdom of hearing, because scriptures can also be heard in the state of samadhi. Being called the object actually explains the wisdom of thinking while dwelling in samadhi. Being called the immeasurable samadhi of complete cultivation is the wisdom of cultivation, because in the state of samadhi, one can also cultivate various immeasurable samadhis.

Raro. As the explained aspect, the samadhi that is endowed with wisdom, and because of the mastery of wisdom, whatever thoroughly understands the characteristics of the Dharma is called thoroughly understanding the characteristics of the Dharma. The samadhi that is complete with the perfect individual knowledge of the inner, the samadhi that is endowed with wisdom, is called possessing the power to enter. The samadhi that is endowed with non-conceptual wisdom is called non-abiding. The samadhi that is endowed with subsequent wisdom is called extremely tamed. This is the teaching of the samadhi connected to the Bodhisattva's treasury, which is the teaching of the Great Vehicle Bodhisattva's treasury, with the wisdom of hearing as the object of focus, for the sake of meditating on immeasurable samadhis. From the transmitted explanations, the first is the samadhi practitioner whose samadhi part is not in unison, because it distinguishes the aspect of reason, it is called thoroughly understanding the characteristics. The second is the samadhi practitioner whose wisdom part is superior and not in unison, because it distinguishes the aspect of view and makes its own nature complete, it is called complete. The samadhi practitioner whose samadhi and wisdom parts are equal is called the part of both. The wisdom of proper attention, and the samadhi of the path of seeing that is in accordance with it, is called non-abiding. The wisdom of proper attention, and the samadhi of the path of cultivation that is in accordance with it, is called extremely tamed. Whatever attainment of the connected samadhi is taught from the Bodhisattva's treasury is the wisdom of hearing. Whatever is focused upon is the wisdom of thinking. Whatever is meditated upon is the wisdom of meditation, because relying on these three wisdoms is for the sake of extensively meditating on immeasurable samadhi. Among them, what is said as samadhi and samadhi, samadhi is the nature of samadhi, and samadhi is the function of samadhi. This is the aspect of the nature of pure samadhi.
