Reverence, questioning, and listening, as detailed therein. One should learn by continuously applying oneself to virtuous deeds, which is the fifth characteristic of diligently practicing without interruption. As stated in the "Compendium on the Great Vehicle," "Constantly, continuously, and uninterruptedly practicing the six perfections will lead to their complete fulfillment." This is like the uninterrupted practice among the four types of practice: prolonged, uninterrupted, respectful, and disembodied practice. In the "Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only," the mind of a limb is added, making the practice fivefold, thereby explaining the meaning of this sutra. The reason for explaining the five characteristics is that one desires to accomplish the six perfections, so one must perfect the five characteristics. The first is to have faith in the branches of the scriptures, because if one does not rely on the teachings, it will become non-practice. The second is to generate genuine faith in the scriptures of the noble ones and cultivate the three wisdoms through ten types of practice, because this is the nature of practice. The third is to protect the roots of virtue so that they do not decline. The fourth is to rely on a virtuous friend, because one needs special circumstances. The fifth is to practice continuously, in order to quickly achieve complete fulfillment, as it is said. The "Compendium on the Great Vehicle" states that there are five types of practice: practicing with application from all activities, practicing with faith, practicing with attention, practicing with skillful means, and practicing with accomplishing actions. Furthermore, the "Abhidharma Samuccaya" states that, in brief, there are the following five types of practice: practicing based on abiding, practicing based on attention, practicing based on intention, practicing based on means, and practicing based on mastery. The extensive explanation is as shown in that treatise, but due to the length, it will not be repeated here.

O! The Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara (Chenrezig Wangchuk) again requested the Blessed One (Bhagavan, the World Honored One), saying: "Blessed One, for what reason are those foundations that should be practiced determined to be only six?" From this point onwards is the fifth, showing the gate of no increase or decrease in the number of perfections (Pāramitās). There are also ten kinds of perfections (Pāramitās), which are also divided into two types: showing that there is no increase or decrease in the number of the six perfections (Pāramitās), and showing that there is no increase or decrease in the number of the four perfections (Pāramitās). The first is again divided into two types: asking and answering. This is the first, asking the reason for determining that there are only six. The Blessed One (Bhagavan, the World Honored One) said to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara (Chenrezig Wangchuk): "Son of good family, it is because of two reasons, namely cause and condition, etc." This is the second, the Tathagata correctly answering. This is again divided into four types: stating the number, separately showing the two ornaments, separately summarizing the two conditions, and explaining separately. This is the first, after stating the number, because of the two causes and conditions, the number is determined in that way. Briefly answered. From the Sutra of the Division of Liberation, it says that there are two things. For the sake of benefiting sentient beings, and for the sake of becoming the antidote to afflictions, etc., this is the second, separately showing the two conditions, this sutra itself is sufficient to express it. Among them, the first three are to benefit sentient beings, and the latter three should be understood as the antidote to afflictions. This shows the third, summarizing the forms of the first three and the latter three into two conditions separately. In this way, generosity, discipline, and patience, these three are to benefit sentient beings. Diligence and the other three are because they become the antidote to afflictions. The first three benefit sentient beings in this way: Bodhisattvas prepare resources through generosity, thereby benefiting sentient beings. Discipline is to avoid harm, lack, and various
