It is the result. Inference from signs is as follows: either now, or from the manifest signs seen previously, and from the explanation of some signs, whatever is the clear inference of the object. For example, inferring a chariot from spokes, fire from smoke, a kingdom from a king, a woman from a household, and from tumors and horns, and so on, up to the extensive explanation. Inference from nature is as follows: inferring the nature that is hidden behind the nature of direct perception, or inferring one aspect from one aspect of nature. For example, inferring the past from the present, the future from the past, the distant from the near that is happening now, and inferring the future from what is happening now, up to the extensive explanation. Inference from action is as follows: whatever is the inference of the basis of action from the agent. For example, from not moving and the existence of a bird's nest, etc., inferring a tree stump, from moving and the movement of limbs, etc., inferring a person, from footprints inferring an elephant, from the traces of the body walking inferring a snake, from the sound "tse re re" inferring a horse, from roaring inferring a lion, from the sound "bhū" inferring locusts, up to the extensive explanation. Inference from dharma is as follows: whatever is the constant inference of the dharma nature related to it from unrelated dharmas and relatedness. For example, from impermanence and relatedness inferring suffering, from suffering and relatedness inferring emptiness and selflessness, from birth and relatedness inferring the nature of joy, up to the extensive explanation. Inference from cause and effect is as follows: whatever is the inference of the effect from the cause, or the cause from the effect. For example, from going inferring arriving elsewhere, from arriving elsewhere inferring going, from pleasing the king inferring obtaining a great reward, from obtaining a great reward inferring pleasing the king, from the path inferring the fruit of practice, and from the fruit of practice inferring the path, up to the extensive explanation, understand as taught in that very text.

It should be so. The explanation in the treatises also states it that way. After that, the meaning explained immediately afterwards is that, examining all dharmas, the essence and function, etc., are interdependent, and different from each other, therefore it is called 'everything is dissimilar.' For example, whatever qualities such as the nature of hearing exist in sound, they exist only in sound, not in dharma, therefore it cannot be called a cause. The sound to be heard exists only in the asserted dharma, and there is no similar example. Although there are different aspects of the cause, it is not the characteristic of following what is heard, therefore it is called the characteristic of focusing on everything dissimilar. This is what is taught as the uncommon certainty in the treatise 'Entering the Correct Reasoning.' Therefore, the uncommon in 'Entering the Correct Reasoning' is like saying, 'Sound is permanent because it is the nature of being heard.' The aspects of permanence and impermanence are separate from this cause, because there is nothing else apart from permanence and impermanence. Son of lineage, regarding this, the characteristic of focusing that agrees with others, along with examples, has the characteristic of focusing on everything dissimilar, etc., summarizing the third characteristic and the second and sixth unnegated characteristics for explanation, and the treatises show the summarization of what is taught as one part of both aspects and 'entering.' This also has two aspects: explaining by summarizing the three characteristics into one, and from 'because it is not completely negated' onwards, encouraging not to rely on it. The first also has two aspects: the explanation of the first characteristic and the unnegated characteristic, and the explanation of the second characteristic and the unnegated characteristic. The first also has two aspects: the explanation of the first characteristic and the explanation of the unnegated. This is the explanation of the characteristic of focusing that agrees with others from the first characteristic, and from this, this characteristic of focusing that agrees with others is complete in words.
