Because there is no comparable example for this, it is said in verse: 'Among all the worldly dharmas, I cannot find anything comparable.' Thus, if one looks at the merit of this, then the merit of that is very small, therefore no dharma can be compared to it. The commentary of the teacher Vajra Srauta says that even one percent cannot be compared, etc., which is a superior difference in number. This is because the merit with outflows is the nature of destruction, therefore it is limited, while the pure dharma without outflows is the nature of non-destruction. Because there is no limit to the number, it is superior. To say that even a part cannot be compared is a superior difference in power. Like this, the power of the merit of the virtuous dharma without outflows is superior to the virtuous dharma with outflows, so it is called a superior difference in power. To say that even a part of the calculation cannot be compared is a superior difference of incomparability. Because the calculation is very subtle from top to bottom, even the slightest part cannot be compared. Therefore, it is called a superior difference of incomparability. This means that if the virtuous dharma without outflows had a form, then even space and the realm of dharma could not contain it. Like this, that with outflows is a form of the nature of destruction, while the unconditioned is a dharma of the nature of without outflows. If they are not equal, even if one sesame seed is divided into tens of thousands of parts, those who are obscured by Mount Meru and waste their efforts cannot compare with each other, this is the final conclusion. To say that it cannot be endured even in the cause is a superior difference in the cause, showing that the cause and effect are not the same. Precious jewels and virtuous roots with outflows, because they obtain the ripening result of the three realms, both the cause and the effect are inferior. But the virtuous root without outflows will ultimately achieve Buddhahood, therefore both the cause and the effect are superior, so it is called the cause and effect are not the same. The sutra says that the first three parts mentioned are only expressions in name.

Regarding this, the so-called "aspect of number" is explained in the commentary on the Sutra of Ten Grounds, where it says that "number" means "one plus two is two, two plus two is four," and so on. The commentary on the Diamond Cutter Sutra of the Perfection of Wisdom, written by the teacher Yönten Jin, states that "number" refers to the six stages, and beyond that, it is impossible to count. The Treasury of Knowledge (Abhidharmakosha) teaches sixty progressions, starting from small numbers. The Avatamsaka Sutra mentions one hundred and twenty progressions. Here, for the moment, sixty are taught, in accordance with the explanation in the Treasury of Knowledge. If combined with the commentary on the Vajra Cutter, then the first five aspects are all called "aspects of number." Therefore, the statement that "it is not even a fraction of a hundredth" indicates the extraordinary excellence of numbers. The so-called "aspect of counting" is explained in the commentary on the Noble Sutra of Ten Grounds, where "counting" refers to accumulating from one and increasing from ten, and so on. In the Great Commentary on the Treatise (Mahavibhasha), if someone asks, "What is the dharma of 'number'?" the answer is: "The mental activity of proper attention and the skillful wisdom that serves as its basis." Here, "number" does not refer to the countable quantities of things like rice and sesame, such as hundreds or thousands, but to the dharma that can be counted, and therefore it is called "number." This is explained from "Thus, the four aggregates are the nature of number" onwards. Furthermore, in the same treatise, if someone asks, "What is the dharma of 'counting'?" the answer is: "The mental activity of proper transformation and the skillful wisdom that serves as its basis." Here, "counting" does not refer to the numbers one, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, or hundred million, but to the dharma that can be counted, and therefore the dharma that can be counted is called "counting." This is explained from "Thus, the five aggregates are the nature of counting" onwards. This explanation
