Having mentioned the five aspects of meaning, it is to show that this is superior and that is inferior. That is, it is superior because it is based on the measure of number, it is superior because it is based on power, it is superior because it is based on form, it is superior because it is based on conformity, and it is superior because it is based on example. The so-called measure of number means that even if you reach the end of the measure of number, you cannot get close to it. As it is said in the sutra, even one hundredth cannot get close to it, and even in number, it cannot get close to it. The so-called power is like this: as one wishes, by hearing, one can attain the superior fruit of the three vehicles, the superior wish-fulfilling jewel. Even if the conventional worldly wish-fulfilling jewel is as big as Mount Sumeru, filling the entire universe of the three thousand great thousand worlds, it does not have the power to obtain the fruit of the three vehicles. The so-called superiority in form means that there are five forms, which are the meanings of the five aggregates, namely, the Tathagata, the true Dharma, the Dharmakaya, the Dharma beyond the world, and the self-nature purity. The meaning of the five aggregates is the meaning of form, because one aspect of suchness has the meaning of the five aggregates. The first shows the self-nature essence, the second shows the cause, the third shows the result, the fourth shows the qualities, and the fifth shows the uncommon, because it can only be attained through non-conceptual wisdom. These five meanings are the meaning of form, but the merit of material giving does not have the form of these five meanings, so it cannot be approached. The so-called conformity means that it shows the conformity of cause and effect. For example, whoever has faith in the Mahayana will realize suchness, but the merit of giving alms does not conform to suchness, so there is no such conformity.

Therefore, it does not approach. The so-called simile means that this Suchness itself is the supreme Dharma, because there is no other Dharma equal to it, so there is nothing that can be used as a simile, as explained in detail there. In the Diamond Sutra translated by Bodhiruci, it says: It is not even one in a hundred, not even one in a thousand, not even one in a million, not even one in a numerical part, from the part of the cause to the counting and simile, it is unbearable. In the commentary on the Holy Auspicious Reality Name Sutra by the teacher Vasubandhu, starting from the four kinds of excellence, the difference between the superior and the inferior is shown. Therefore, it is said in the verse: Number and power and unequaled victory, the cause of unequaled is also like this, all the dharmas of worldly people, cannot find me that can be used as a simile. The commentary here says: What does this show? The previous merit shows the excellence of this merit. How is it excellent? It is excellent in number, excellent in power, excellent in unequaled, and excellent in cause. Therefore, it is said in the verse: All the dharmas of worldly people cannot find those that can be used as similes. This is what is to be shown. Among them, the excellence in number is what the sutra says: It is not even one in a hundred, and it is unbearable even between counting and simile. Because the number is infinite, it should also be understood that other numbers can be expressed. The excellence in power is because the sutra says: It is not even one part. The excellence in unequaled is because this merit is not calculated in number, so the sutra says: It is also unbearable to calculate. The excellence in cause is that there is no similarity even in the way of cause and effect, because the cause and effect here are excellent, so the sutra says: It is unbearable even between causes. Because these dharmas are excellent, what dharma in the world
