Or, the place of the characteristic of destruction, the characteristic of action, is called right concentration. Or, it is called the opposite of right concentration, or the antidote, or the practice of right concentration, or causing the unborn to arise, or causing the born to abide and not be forgotten, and to increase and expand again. Whatever is established as a designation and establishment of the characteristic of self-nature or the characteristic of difference, that is the characteristic of the completely imputed. Thus, etc., is to explain and distinguish the understanding of the second (completely imputed characteristic). This is also divided into two: understanding the characteristic of no self-nature based on the completely imputed, and the arising of no self-nature based on the other-dependent, and showing the understanding of a small part of the true ultimate no self-nature. The first is also two: establishing the completely imputed characteristic, and applying the characteristic of no self-nature. This is the first, because it is based on the eighth right concentration of the noble path branch and shows understanding, so it should be understood as before. Furthermore, the difference of right concentration is also two: with "the object of discrimination," etc., it shows that the self-nature of the completely imputed is other-dependent. With "whatever is designation and establishment," etc., it shows the establishment of the completely imputed based on the other-dependent. From that completely imputed, five things are established: the first is the establishment of the self-nature and difference of right concentration, such as, whatever is generally said about the self-nature of concentration is called the self-nature of concentration. Invincible and differentiated, and the fourth dhyana, etc., are called the difference of concentration. The second is the establishment of the opposite and antidote of right concentration, such as, whatever is right concentration in the eightfold path is called the antidote. The eighth wrong concentration in the eight wrongnesses is called the opposite, which is the characteristic of self-nature and difference.

It should also be understood as before. The third is correct meditation and the establishment of the unborn. The fourth is the abiding of the born. The fifth is non-forgetfulness, as well as decline, increase, and expansion. Each of the five doors mentioned above has its own nature and distinctive characteristics, which can be understood if examined. For example, the establishment of correct samadhi with five characteristics is called the nature of complete imputation. The Blessed One, relying on this, teaches that the nature of all dharmas is without self-nature, which is the second teaching of the nature of no self-nature, and should be understood as before. The object of discrimination, the place of the nature of complete imputation, the sign of the aspect, that is the nature of other-dependence, etc., which shows that the second other-dependence gives rise to no self-nature, and that a part of ultimate no self-nature is understood. This also has two aspects, namely, showing other-dependence, and well showing the two kinds of no self-nature, which is the first. The Blessed One, relying on this, teaches that the birth of all dharmas is without self-nature, and that a part of ultimate no self-nature is also taught, which is the second other-dependence and shows the two kinds of no self-nature, which should be understood as before. Thus, I am now seeking according to the meaning of what the Blessed One has said, and from here on, the second is to start from the perfectly established and show a part of the ultimate no self-nature. This also has two aspects, namely, briefly showing understanding, and separately explaining understanding, which is the first. The object of discrimination, the place of the nature of complete imputation, the sign of the aspect, precisely because this nature of complete imputation is not fully established, therefore, simply because that self-nature has no self-nature, the absence of self of phenomena, such a pure object, that is the nature of perfect establishment.

Etc., these are the explanations that distinguish the second kind of understanding. This also has two aspects: showing the characteristics of complete accomplishment, and showing no self-nature. This is the first, and it should be understood as before. The Blessed One, relying on it, made a kind of expedient establishment from the ultimate non-self-nature of all dharmas, which is called the second kind of showing non-self-nature, and it should also be understood as before. Blessed One, for example, turmeric mixed with medicinal powder, and essence extraction mixed, are clear in all places. From this point onwards is the third, using metaphors to explain and repeat the explanation. This is also shown with four kinds of metaphors, and divided into four kinds from them. This is the first example shown with the metaphor of turmeric. This is also shown in two ways: showing the metaphor, and combining the metaphor with the meaning. This is the first to show the metaphor, if turmeric is put into medicinal powder, it will become powerful. Similarly, the Blessed One also starts from the non-self-nature, non-arising, non-cessation, originally peaceful, and self-nature nirvana of all dharmas, to explain that non-self-nature is the true meaning, and this is also declared in all sutras of provisional meaning. This is called the second, showing the correspondence between the Dharma and the metaphor, like this, if words such as non-self-nature are established in all sutras of provisional meaning, then the intention of these sutras can be understood. Blessed One, for example, the basis of painting, whether it is blue, yellow, red or white, covers all paintings, has the same taste, and the painted picture is also very clear, etc., this is the second kind of showing the metaphor with the basis of painting. This also has two aspects, namely showing the metaphor, and combining the metaphor with the meaning. This is the first, for example, the basis for painting blue, yellow, etc., covers all functions of various paintings, and is the same as blue, yellow, etc.
