And the different names mentioned in this sutra also say that from that, one observes the absence of inherent existence. From that, the category of the destruction of the three natures is not mentioned, so it is called the view of destruction, but here it is mentioned that one denigrates the characteristics of the three natures, so it is called the view of no characteristics. Because one has only heard of the view of non-existence and the view of no characteristics, one denigrates all characteristics as having no characteristics. And it is said that one also denigrates the characteristics of the completely conceptualized nature of phenomena, as well as the dependent nature, and the completely established nature, which is the second description of the characteristics of the two kinds of faults. There are also two explanations for this phrase in the sutra. Some say that the view of non-existence and the view of no characteristics are merely attained, which is the simultaneous mention of two views. The statement that all characteristics are denigrated as having no characteristics is an extreme manifestation of the faults accomplished by the two views, because the characteristics of the three natures are denigrated as having no characteristics. From the characteristics of the completely conceptualized nature of phenomena, etc., this is a separate display of the faults of denigrating the three natures. Some say that the view of non-existence, the view of no characteristics, and attainment are the simultaneous mention of two views. The statement that all characteristics are denigrated as having no characteristics is a separate display of the view of non-existence. From phenomena, etc., this is a separate explanation of the view of no characteristics. Why is that? This is the third examination. From the examination, it says: The emptiness of the Buddhas is said to surely give rise to all views. Those who view emptiness as a view, it is said that these people are incurable. Like this appears, in the explanation of this it says: What is the view of emptiness? Like this, one clings to emptiness and says that this emptiness exists. What is the fault of clinging to emptiness? The Thus-Gone One said that those sentient beings who view emptiness are incurable. That meaning
