Due to "not fully understanding the profound and correct Dharma spoken with the intention of the Tathagata," etc., it shows the second kind of clinging to the literal meaning. This also has two aspects: showing the arising of clinging to the literal meaning, and from "based on this" onwards, showing the faults of clinging. The first is also shown in two ways: not understanding after hearing, and even if one has faith, it leads to clinging. This is the first. For example, that Bodhisattva, even if he hears that teaching, because he is not of an upright nature and abides in his own views, he will not be able to fully understand the profound Dharma spoken with my intention, that is the meaning. Even if he develops faith in that Dharma, due to "clinging to the literal meaning of its meaning," etc., it shows the second situation, that even if one has faith, it leads to clinging. This also has two aspects: showing the clinging itself, and showing the characteristics of the clinger. This is the first, that even if one has deep faith in the Dharma spoken with the intention of the Tathagata, due to not fully understanding, one clings to the literal meaning. All dharmas are only without own nature, only peaceful from the beginning, only completely in nirvana by nature, saying so, this is the second, showing the characteristics of the clinger. In terms of the true meaning, there are four words in this sutra: first, all dharmas are without own nature. If combined with the sutra verses shown above, since generally, without own nature is spoken based on the three kinds of without own nature, therefore these three kinds of without own nature themselves are without own nature. Second, without arising and without ceasing. Third, peaceful from the beginning. Fourth, completely in nirvana by nature. If these three words are combined with the sutra verses shown above, then this sutra is only spoken based on the two kinds of without own nature, namely, characteristic without own nature and ultimate without own nature. Writing extremely extensive treatises, etc.
