The commentary by the teacher Non-Self (Tibetan: སློབ་དཔོན་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་མེད་) also shows it in meaning as such. The treatise "Establishment of Consciousness Only" also states that because the particularly excellent qualities of the aspects of enlightenment exist, burning the wood of afflictions and increasing the light of wisdom, it is called radiant. In the commentary on the Noble Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it is said to be the ground that increases light. In treatises such as the Ornament of the Sutras, it is said that by burning the wood of the two obscurations, it is the ground of radiant wisdom. The commentary written by the teacher Vasubandhu (Tibetan: དབྱིག་གཉེན་) states that after all the root afflictions and near afflictions are reduced to ashes, this indicates that the obscuration of knowledge has been permanently abandoned, afflictions are subdued, and abandonment is reduced to ashes. If it were not so, it would contradict what is stated in the treatise Compendium of the Great Vehicle, such as "specifically establishing afflictions and the exhaustion of afflictions." Because it is very difficult to cultivate those qualities of the aspects of enlightenment with skillful means, and one initially gains mastery, therefore the fifth ground is called the Extremely Difficult to Conquer Ground. This is the explanation of the fifth Extremely Difficult to Conquer Ground. In this way, because one gains mastery from the difficulty of cultivation, it is called Extremely Difficult to Conquer. Boundary. The Liberation Sutra also agrees with what is said in this sutra. The Profound Meaning Liberation Sutra states: Cultivating the qualities of the aspects of enlightenment with skillful means is the Extremely Difficult to Conquer Ground. The Noble Sutra Requested by King of Men states that it is the Ground of Supreme Wisdom. Therefore, in the verses there, it says: With supreme wisdom, one clearly understands the three truths. King of the Joyful Deities, the field is a hundred thousand. This is what is said. The Noble Golden Light Sutra states that because one has obtained the supreme wisdom of the means of cultivation, it is extremely difficult to conquer, and because one cannot be overwhelmed by the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing and cultivating, it is called the Extremely Difficult to Conquer Ground.

In the Sutra of Ten Grounds, it is said that all the roots of virtue abiding in this ground, as well as wisdom and excellent wisdom, are extremely clear and completely pure because they are thoroughly examined by the mind and are in accordance with it. Moreover, the roots of virtue of the lower grounds and the roots of virtue of the two vehicles cannot be taken away, hence it is called the Ground of Extreme Difficulty to Conquer. Thus it is said. In the Holy Avatamsaka Sutra, the ten abodes are taught, and in the Sutra of Excellent Discipline, it is also taught in meaning as such. In the commentary on the Holy Ten Grounds Sutra, it is said that because one has obtained transcendental wisdom and skillful means, one overcomes the extremely difficult to conquer, therefore it is called the Ground of Extreme Difficulty to Conquer. In the Treatise on the Grounds of Yogic Practice, it is said that in this ground, the Bodhisattva shows the supreme knowledge of the various definitive understandings of the noble truths, and because it is extremely difficult to conquer, it is called the Ground of Extreme Difficulty to Tame. In the Ornament of the Sutras, it is said that the fifth ground has two difficulties: diligence in maturing sentient beings without afflictions is difficult, and guarding one's own mind and being without afflictions is also difficult. The Bodhisattva of this ground has truly transcended the two difficulties and has become victorious over the extremely difficult, therefore it is called the Ground of Extreme Difficulty to Conquer. Thus it appears. In the Compendium of the Great Vehicle, it is said that the true reality and worldly knowledge are mutually contradictory, therefore it is difficult to accomplish, hence it is called Extremely Difficult to Tame. Thus it is said. The commentaries by Master Vasubandhu and Asanga also teach the meaning as such. In the Discrimination of the Middle and the Extremes, it is said that the knowable objects, the sutras, which focus on the extremely pure reality, and the aggregate of supreme wisdom, the extremely difficult to accomplish noble path that does not abide in samsara and nirvana, whoever obtains it is called Extremely Difficult to Tame. Thus it is said. In the Commentary on the Ten Abodes, it is said that in the fifth ground, because the power of qualities has increased, all the maras cannot frighten, therefore it is called the Ground of Extreme Difficulty to Conquer. Thus it is said. In the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only, it is said that all the meanings are in the Great Vehicle scriptures.
