This is the non-conceptual wisdom of the first ground. Here, if we examine the intention of this sutra, it generally shows the four roots of virtue as patience. Or, it is taught as the patience of superior virtue and the patience of faith in the supreme of worldly dharmas. In the Sandhinirmocana Sutra, it says: On the ground of practice with faith, Bodhisattvas have ten practices, therefore, Bodhisattvas greatly cultivate the patience of liberation. Having completely transcended that ground, Bodhisattvas enter the realm of true and immaculate reality. These Bodhisattvas perfect that limb with that cause and condition, which shows the second, namely, perfecting one's own limb. Thus, the first ground, etc., by the power of the causes and conditions of the ten practices, etc., of the previous ground of application, having completely transcended the application, enter the realm of true and immaculate reality of the first ground, and by that cause and condition, that limb becomes perfect. Among them, what is called reality is the undefiled noble path, because it turns back from the wrong path, it is called reality. The afflictions that are to be abandoned by the path of seeing harm sentient beings, like food that is not cooked, therefore it is called impurity. Because the undefiled noble path abandons the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, it is called true and immaculate reality. The extensive explanation should be understood as explained in the chapter on yoga differentiation above. In the Sandhinirmocana Sutra, it says: Having completely transcended the ground of practice with faith, one enters into the possession of the aggregate of samadhi in the continuum. Although the words are different, the meanings are not contradictory. Relying on the Holy Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, there are two explanations for what is called true and immaculate reality: Some say that whatever can be objectified is impurity. Whatever wisdom cannot be objectified is true and immaculate reality. Therefore, in that very sutra, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One!

What are the faults of entering into the true nature of a Bodhisattva without faults? What is it to be free from faults? The Blessed One said to Subhuti: "Whatever is with an object of focus for Bodhisattvas, all of that is called a fault. Whatever is without any object of focus at all, that is called a virtue." Thus it is said, as it is explained in detail in that very text. Some say that following after craving for the Dharma is a fault, just as uncooked food causes illness. Because the wisdom that understands emptiness pacifies that fault, it is therefore called true nature without fault. Therefore, in the Sutra of the Holy Perfection of Wisdom, it says: "Bodhisattvas who do not possess skillful means, practicing the six perfections, will fall into the level of the two vehicles, therefore the true nature of Bodhisattvas will enter into the faultless." Then the venerable Shariputra said to the venerable Subhuti: "Which Dharma is called a fault?" Subhuti said: "The fault is like this: whatever Bodhisattvas follow after craving for the Dharma. That craving for the Dharma itself is called a fault, just as uncooked food causes various diseases. Because of completely eliminating that, it is called faultless." Thus it is said, as it is explained in detail in that very text. The Sutra of the Holy Perfection of Wisdom, in thirty-six sections, and four hundred and eight sections, and the Great Chapter Sutra, show that it is in accordance with the later Sutras. The extensive differentiation is as explained in the commentary on the Holy Perfection of Wisdom Sutra. In the commentary on the treatise Compendium of the Great Vehicle, it is also combined with what is explained in the translation at the time of Lanka. When explaining this Sutra phrase, it says: "Due to the power of the cause and condition of abandoning the three obscurations and obtaining the qualities of the ten limbs from that, the first ground will become completely perfect." Therefore, in that very commentary, it says: "Each of the grounds, after abandoning the three obscurations, will each obtain particularly superior qualities. Among them, the obscuration that is abandoned by the first one
