In the Sutra of the Vision of the Capable One, it is said: The Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara is a Buddha who has already attained perfect enlightenment in the past, and his name is the Light of the True Dharma. In the Sutra of the Prophecy of Avalokiteśvara by the Blessed One, it is said: The Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara is the regent of the Buddha Maitreya, and his name is the King of Mountains that Shows All Buddhas. Therein, the Blessed One, with words such as "How is it?", is referring to the scriptures of the request. As in the Holy Ten Bhumi Sutra and others, the ten bhumis and the Tathagata bhumi have been fully proclaimed. Therein, with words such as "Those that have been spoken", the words of the request itself are accurately shown. There are two intentions here: The first is to ask which of the four purities these ten bhumis are included in. The second is to ask which of the eleven limbs they are included in. Then, the Blessed One spoke thus to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara: Son of good family, know that those bhumis are included in the four purities and the eleven limbs. From this point on is the second, showing the words of the Tathagata's true answer. This also has two aspects: a brief answer, and an extensive explanation with questions and answers. This is the first. If asked: How are the bhumis included in the four purities? and so on, it shows the extensive explanation with questions and answers. This also has two aspects: showing that the bhumis are included in the four purities, and that the bhumis are included in the eleven limbs. The first is also shown by observation and answering, this is the first observation. For example, the first bhumi is included in the purity of higher intention. The second bhumi is included in the purity of higher morality. The third bhumi is included in the purity of higher mind. The purity of higher wisdom becomes extremely excellent in the later bhumis, so starting from the fourth bhumi,

Like "being included in the middle of the earth," etc., is the second correct answer. This also has two ways: explanation and conclusion. This is the first explanation. Like this, there are four kinds of complete purification, just as it is said in this sutra itself. In the Yogacarabhumi Sastra, it is said that there are four abodes, which are the very four kinds of complete purification mentioned in this sutra itself. The first of these is said to be included by the complete purification of superior intention, and the nature of that superior intention is explained differently in various treatises. In the commentary on the Mahayana-samgraha translated during the time of Lanka, it is said to be the nature of non-conceptual wisdom. Therefore, in that commentary, it is stated that superior intention is non-conceptual wisdom. Furthermore, in that same commentary, it is said that non-conceptual wisdom is itself the complete purification of intention. In the Yogacarabhumi Sastra, it is said to be the nature of aspiration. Therefore, in the chapter on superior intention, it is said that whatever is preceded by faith, preceded by the discrimination of dharmas, and whatever is aspiration, individual observation, and determination towards the Buddha's teachings, that is the superior intention of a Bodhisattva. In the commentary on the Mahayana-samgraha by Acarya Asanga, it is said to be the nature of initial desire and aspiration. Therefore, in that commentary, it is said that superior intention is like this, it is the nature of faith and aspiration. The commentary composed by Acarya Vasubandhu also states this, therefore, in that commentary, it is said that the nature of superior intention is like this, it is desire and aspiration. Among these, desire is hoping and seeking. Faith is called aspiration. The Mahayana-samgraha Sastra also states this. In the commentary on the Mahayana-samgraha translated during the time of Lanka, it is said that because the mind is certain and without doubt towards the correct teachings, it is called faith. Whatever desire there is to meditate on the nature of what is manifestly believed
