Furthermore, when both kinds of feelings have ceased completely and utterly, only the feeling arising from the contact of the aggregation of consciousness is manifestly experienced. It is said that there are two explanations in the commentaries. Some say that the feelings present in the continuum of an Arhat are called uncontaminated because they are free from latent predispositions. The eight feelings mentioned earlier were shown to be entirely contaminated, therefore it is shown that all do not exist. The "two kinds" refer to the two fundamental feelings mentioned earlier, which are the summary of the eight feelings. Some say that when entering into a state of mindlessness, the other eight feelings will cease. Because the uncontaminated feeling that is spoken of is the proximate application of entering into a state of mindlessness, it is said that it is only nominally ceasing, not that it will not cease in the true sense. When passing into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder, that too will cease forever. This refers to showing that it will cease forever in the second realm without remainder. In this way, in the realm without remainder, will the feeling arising from the contact of the aggregation of consciousness also cease? Or will the feelings that are commonly present, etc., that were mentioned earlier also cease? Therefore, it is said that in the realm of Nirvana without remainder, all feelings will completely and forever cease. This is the second general conclusion, and it should be understood. Then, after the Blessed One spoke thus, he again said to the Bodhisattva Maitreya: "Well done, well done, son of good family, you have begun with the path of yoga that is completely perfect, exceedingly pure, and exceedingly rich, and asked questions of the Tathagata. You will become exceedingly certain and exceedingly skilled in yoga," and so forth. This is dividing the extensive explanation given earlier in single sentences into two parts: extensively explaining the characteristics of Shamatha and Vipassana, and concluding and encouraging practice.

After explaining "thus," the nature of tranquility and insight are explained before this. After this, the second part, which is to conclude and encourage practice, is explained. This can also be divided into three parts: praising the benefits of requesting; from "I also" onwards, explaining what the Buddhas have commonly taught; from "son of the family" onwards, explaining the encouragement to practice. This is the expression of the sutra itself at the beginning. I also have taught you the path of complete, perfectly pure, and excellent yoga. All the perfectly enlightened Buddhas of the past and future have also taught in this way, and will teach. This is the second part, explaining what the Buddhas have commonly taught. For example, the excellent deeds of tranquility and insight that I have spoken of are not only taught by me, but the Buddhas of the three times have also taught the same meaning in the same way. This is a concluding statement. Sons and daughters of the family should also rely on this and practice diligently and truthfully. This is the third part, encouraging practice, which is the expression of the sutra itself. Then, in order to truly explain this meaning, the Bhagavan spoke these verses, etc. From this, it can be known that this chapter is divided into two parts: first, the true explanation of tranquility and insight above, and second, the great explanation of practicing according to the teachings. Among them, the true explanation is also divided into two types: one is to explain widely through simple words, and the other is to explain briefly through verses. Here, it is to explain briefly through verses. Alternatively, when summarizing this chapter as a whole, it can be divided into three parts: one is to explain widely through simple words, the other is to repeat the explanation through verses, and the third is to combine the explanation through practicing according to the teachings. Here is the second part, repeating the explanation through verses. This can also be divided into two parts: one is the introduction to the verses, and the other is the repetition of the verses themselves. This is the first part. Dharma

For those who practice meditative yoga, if someone acts carelessly, they will lose the great meaning. If one relies on the Dharma and yoga and practices correctly, one will attain great Bodhi. From here onwards is the second part, which explains the meaning through verses. This also has five verses, divided into five categories. Among them, the first verse explains the merits and faults of being in accordance with and in opposition to the Dharma and yoga. The following second verse explains the faults of having attachment. The third verse explains the merits of benefiting sentient beings and abandoning worldly affairs. The fourth verse explains the faults of teaching the Dharma out of desire. The fifth verse explains the benefits of abandoning attachment and benefiting sentient beings. This is the first part, which explains the benefits and faults of being in accordance with and in opposition to the Dharma and yoga. As it is said in the twelve scriptures, in the classification of the Dharma, for the path of Shamatha and Vipassana of meditative yoga, if someone is careless, they will lose the great fruit of Nirvana. If one relies on this teaching and Shamatha and Vipassana and practices correctly, one will attain great Bodhi, this is what is being expressed. Seeking liberation from obstacles with views that have objects, if someone says that they have attained the Dharma through that view, then those people are far from yoga, just like the distance between the sky and the earth. This is the second part, which explains the faults of having attachment. Just like relying on Shamatha and Vipassana to seek, it will become a view with attachment. If one is attached to that view, thinking that one has attained the Dharma, and saying that one is liberated from the obstacles of Samsara, then one is far from the path of yoga, just like the sky and the earth. Therefore, in the Sutra Requested by Arya Supreme Wisdom, it is said: 'Whenever the mind conceptually thinks about phenomena, that is wrong. When the mind does not conceptually think about phenomena, that is right.' In treatises
