The six consciousnesses with defilements and the eight consciousnesses without outflows, this is a summary term. The arising of consciousnesses corresponding to the unindicated is like this: the consciousnesses that do not correspond to these two, this shows the sixteenth mind. For example: not corresponding to virtue and afflictions, the six consciousnesses with defilements, and the Alaya consciousness, this is a summary term. If asked: How can one become skilled in the abiding of the mind? etc., this shows the second part, the detailed explanation of being skilled in the abiding of the mind. This is also shown through questions and answers, this is the question. The "skilled" in it refers to the mind that fully understands, and the following should also be explained in the same way. For example: truly and completely understanding the suchness of consciousness, this shows the second part, the answer. Like this, the mind that truly corresponds to non-conceptual wisdom, after fully understanding the suchness of consciousness, abides relying on suchness. Or, the suchness of consciousness refers to the suchness of consciousness among the seven suchnesses, that is the wisdom that can be separately observed, called the suchness of consciousness, because it is not just that. In the Ornament of the Sutras, it says: The suchness of consciousness is like this: non-conceptual wisdom. That is what it says: like this, truly corresponding to the mind that only contemplates consciousness, fully understanding what, and what abides relying on the object, that is called being skilled in the abiding of the mind, this is shown. If asked: How can one become skilled in the arousal of the mind? etc., this shows the third part, the detailed explanation of being skilled in the arousal of the mind. This is also shown through questions and answers, this is the question. Truly arousing from the two bonds, fully understanding is like this: from the bond of signs and the bond of bad destinies, arousing this mind, this is

The so-called "Sapo" is the second answer. Like this, truly and completely knowing the mind that corresponds to non-conceptual wisdom, one will surely be liberated from the two kinds of bondage. If one is skilled in the mind of complete knowledge, one will be liberated from the two bondages of the mind that correspond to non-conceptual wisdom. How can one be skilled in the growth of the mind? And so on, this is the fourth explanation of being skilled in the growth of the mind. This is also explained through questions and answers. This is the question. Like this, truly, the mind that is the antidote to the bondage of signs and the bondage of bad destinies, when it grows and accumulates, it is called growth. Completely knowing what "has been accumulated" is called being skilled in growth. This is the second answer. Truly, the mind that is the antidote to the two bondages grows, and when it accumulates, completely knowing with wisdom and so on that corresponds to the mind that is the antidote to bondage is called being skilled in growth. Among them, the difference between growth and accumulation is that the manifested action grows, this is called growth. What has been completely tamed and becomes a seed is called accumulation. Or, the time of growth is called growth. What arises from repeated taming is called accumulation. How can one be skilled in the decline of the mind? And so on, this shows the explanation of being skilled in the decline of the mind. This is also explained through questions and answers. This is the question. Like this, truly, the side that is not in harmony with it, the mind that is completely afflicted by signs and bad destinies declines and decreases, completely knowing "it has declined and decreased" is called being skilled in the decline of the mind. This is the second answer. Like this, truly

Just like that, when the two bonds that are contrary to it cause the mind to become completely afflicted, decreasing and diminishing, the views and so on that exist in accordance with the completely afflicted mind also decrease, and understanding what diminishing is, that is called being skilled in diminishing. The difference between decreasing and diminishing should also be understood as the opposite of the increase and accumulation mentioned above. How is one skilled in means? And so on, showing the explanation of the sixth, being skilled in means. This is also declared in the form of questions and answers. This is the question. For example, truly meditating on liberation and the superior realms, and the realms of cessation, or completely eliminating, fully understanding, this is called the second answer, for example, truly, the eight liberations, the eight superior realms, and the ten realms of cessation, the benefit of practicing these two ways, and completely eliminating obstacles with these three ways, fully understanding, is to attain supernatural powers through skillful means, and various qualities such as freedom from affliction, because it can guide well, it is called skillful means. Guiding qualities well is also because the explanations of the teachings are different, so in the explanation of the treatises it is said that among the eight liberations, the fifth liberation can guide qualities. Therefore, in that treatise it is said that in order for the noble ones to attain the qualities of direct perception, freedom from affliction, mindfulness, and individual correct knowledge, they must also directly realize the liberation of the realm of infinite consciousness. From the treatise "Yogacarabhumi-sastra", three different explanations arise, one explanation is that the first liberation can directly realize the superior realms, the realms of cessation, and the supernatural powers and freedom from affliction of the noble ones, mindfulness, individual correct knowledge, and so on.
