Translated, one will attain great Nirvana and great Bodhi. It is stated that this shows the two kinds of universal ignorance. In the Sutra Unraveling the Profound Meaning, it says, "In the eleventh ground, the obscuration of knowledge becomes extremely subtle and becomes the antidote that is supremely and exceedingly subtle." This shows one aspect of the obscuration of knowledge. The obscuration of the Buddha ground does not depend on other treatises, therefore it is not quoted here. Among them, explaining the definitive word is the explanation of complete grasping among the six explanations. Thus, because those obscurations are completely destroyed, ultimately one obtains unobstructed and unimpeded wisdom and vision towards all things, and relying on the object of intention that is completely accomplished, the extremely pure Dharmakaya is established, which is the second, showing the benefit of abandoning obscurations. The words of this sutra can also be divided into two types: first, it shows that after abandoning obscurations, one obtains wisdom and vision, just like this, because the two types of obscurations are permanently abandoned. In order, ultimately, through the emptiness of phenomena, one obtains unobstructed wisdom and all views, and through the emptiness of the person, one obtains unimpeded wisdom and all views. Therefore, In the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness Only, it says, "Attachment is called the obscuration of knowledge, and obstruction is called the obscuration of afflictions." Therefore, the wisdom that meditates on the emptiness of phenomena is called unobstructed. It should be understood that the wisdom that meditates on the emptiness of the person is called unimpeded. Second, establishing the Dharmakaya from the object of focus, just like this, relying on the object of the four completely accomplished intentions, the Dharmakaya of pure Suchness, which completely abandons the two obscurations, is established, or the two Dharmakayas are established. Bodhisattva Maitreya again asked the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, how is the shamatha and vipashyana of the Bodhisattva..."

Therefore, in order to diligently practice, one will attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened enlightenment. From here onwards is the sixteenth, which teaches the door to attaining enlightenment through Śamatha and Vipaśyanā. This is also taught through questioning and answering, and this is the questioning itself. How do Bodhisattvas who have attained Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, relying on Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, diligently practice in order to attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened enlightenment? This is the concluding statement. The Blessed One spoke to the Bodhisattva Maitreya: "Son of noble family, Bodhisattva Maitreya, having attained Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, and starting from the seven suchnesses, how does one, with a special mind of equanimity towards the Dharma that is heard and contemplated, thoroughly ascertain, thoroughly contemplate, and thoroughly abide in that very suchness, and properly attend to it inwardly?" And so forth, this teaches the second, the Tathāgata's truthful answer. This is also divided into two: Explanation and conclusion. The first is also taught in two ways: teaching the practice of diligence in the causal stage, and teaching the attainment of enlightenment in the resultant stage. The first is further divided into three: teaching the meaning itself, teaching by example, and combining the example with the meaning. There are also two explanations for teaching the meaning itself: Some say that this is taught starting from the four paths, and therefore it is divided into four: teaching the stage of accumulation, teaching the stage of application from "that" onwards, teaching the stage of seeing from "thereafter" onwards, and teaching the stage of cultivation from "higher and higher" onwards. This is the teaching of the first stage of the path of accumulation. This sutra text is also divided into two: the first is the teaching of the yogi who has attained Śamatha and Vipaśyanā and abides in the path of accumulation. The second is from "starting from the seven suchnesses" onwards.
