Therefore, from then on, the first bhumi bodhisattva declares the abandonment of the two kinds of pervasive delusion and their faults. The first is the pervasive delusion of attachment to self and phenomena, which is the obscuration of ordinary beings mentioned here. The second is the pervasive delusion of the lower realms, which should be understood as the karma and results of the lower realms, and it is also said that all aspects of pervasive delusion are pervasive delusion. Alternatively, it is only shown that two pervasive delusions arise from the two kinds of obscurations, coarse and subtle, that arise from them. The phrase "their faults" refers to those two kinds, or to the non-virtuous actions that arise from those two, as stated in detail therein. Furthermore, since the sutra says, "Becoming the antidote to the afflictions of the lower realms and the contaminated obscurations of karma and birth," it should also be understood that from the beginning of reality, the first bhumi is characterized by becoming the antidote to the two obscurations, and so on. Explaining these teachings, the commentary on the noble *Ten Bhumi Sutra* also says, "The obscuration of the characteristics of ordinary beings," and the commentary by Master Vasubandhu says, "The obscuration of ordinary beings," and the Lankavatara translation of the *Compendium of the Great Vehicle* says, "The ignorance of ordinary beings," which is precisely the display of the pervasive delusion of attachment to self and phenomena. There is also a difference in the commentary on the Lankavatara translation: The name that is taught is not abandonment, but it is shown as ignorance. The name taught in other commentaries is abandonment, because it is shown by the word "obscuration." In the *Sandhinirmocana Sutra* it says, "The contamination of karma and birth and afflictions of the lower realms," and what is said in this sutra is the display of the pervasive delusion of the afflictions of the lower realms. These two sutras and the third commentary each mention one pervasive delusion separately, while the *Vijnaptimatrata-siddhi* shows two pervasive delusions, and so on, therefore it is correct.

Starting from... it should be understood that what is said is the nature of being confused about both. Or, the two sutras also agree with the doctrine established in the Treatise on Mere Consciousness, and the term "affliction" encompasses the obscuration of knowable objects, because the nature is the same, so it is expressed by the name of affliction. Among them, the definitive word that is shown is also, the so-called obscuration of ordinary beings is an explanation based on autonomy, because the nature of ordinary beings is established by relying on the two obscurations. The afflictions of bad destinies and the completely afflicted karma and birth that are mentioned are explanations of completely holding karma, because the three completely afflicted are obstacles. The so-called second ground is the antidote to the obscuration of the arising of subtle transgressions, which refers to the obscuration of the second ground. Thus, one of the co-emergent parts of the obscuration of knowable objects, and the nature of the three transgressions of delusion arising from it. From arising, seed, and imputation, it also includes arising, seed, and habit. Among them, habit itself is not able to function, therefore, in the Treatise on Mere Consciousness, from the two kinds of wrong views, one of the co-emergent parts, and the transgressions of delusion arising from it

If combined with the explanation of classification, it is ignorance that acts as its nature. If speaking by pursuing the ultimate meaning, it is the three types of karma and ignorance that act as its nature. In the commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle Teachings, translated by Lang-gi Tshe, it is also stated that "the ignorance that causes wrong views to sentient beings through the karma of the body" contains two meanings: If speaking according to the name, it is ignorance that acts as its nature. If speaking according to the true meaning, it is ignorance and karma that act as its nature. Among them, the definitive words are also shown in the commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle Teachings, "the ignorance that generates wrong veiling" refers to the classification explanation of completely holding onto karma. In these sutras, such as "the subtle fallacies of delusion universally arise," etc., it should also be clearly distinguished as being under the power of the master and the classification explanation of completely holding onto karma, as before. Because it is the obscuration of universally arising delusion, or because the universally arising delusion itself is the obscuration. For the third ground, "the obscuration of desire and attachment becomes the antidote" refers to showing the obscuration of the third ground. In the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only, it says: For example, a portion that arises simultaneously from the obscuration of knowledge, for example, obstructs the wisdom that cultivates the special samadhi of the third ground, while the afflictions of desire obstruct the wisdom of dharani, listening, thinking, and meditating, therefore, it is said to be characterized by forgetfulness and non-awareness. Therefore, in the Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness-Only, it says: The obscuration of delusion is like this: a portion that arises simultaneously from the obscuration of knowledge, which causes the forgetting of the Dharma of listening, thinking, and meditating. It obstructs the third dhyana and the excellent dharani, and the three types of excellent wisdom generated by dharani. Among the twenty-two universal delusions, for the universal delusion of desire and attachment and the complete perfection of the dharani of listening
