The phrase "acting as the cause of those" is what is said in the second answer. Thus, the liberation discipline obtained through the samadhi of Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, and even in a state of distraction, the two wisdoms of hearing and thinking also act as the cause of those. "Bhagavan, what are the fruits of Śamatha and Vipaśyanā?" and so on, is the display of the second Śamatha and Vipaśyanā's fruits. This is also a request and an answer, this is the request. "Son of good family, extremely pure mind and extremely pure wisdom act as the fruits of those," and so on, is the display of what is truly said in the second answer. This is again shown in two ways, this is the first. Among them, "extremely pure mind" is the fruit of Śamatha. "Extremely pure wisdom" is the fruit of Vipaśyanā. These are spoken from the perspective of the fruit of a similar cause. If combined with the fruit of sovereignty, then two fruits will be obtained. Alternatively, "extremely pure mind" and "extremely pure wisdom" are called "extremely" because they are without outflows. In some other exemplars, the statement "extremely pure discipline, extremely pure mind, and extremely pure wisdom" is incorrect. Even when compared with the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra and other exemplars, there is no mention of discipline. Furthermore, "Son of good family, all of the Śrāvakas, and all the virtuous dharmas of the world and beyond, such as the Tathāgata, should also be known as the fruits obtained through Śamatha and Vipaśyanā," this is the display of those fruits in the second way. The explanation of this passage of scripture also varies. Some say that this passage is the teaching of the Śrāvakas, Bodhisattvas, and Tathāgatas. If combined with this explanation, then the word "etc." also includes Bodhisattvas. Therefore, in the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra, Śrāvakas and Bodhi

Warriors and Pratyekabuddhas say so. Some say that the Shravakas mentioned here also include Pratyekabuddhas. Others say as before. Some say that the word "etc." includes Pratyekabuddhas and Bodhisattvas. Others say as before. That is to say, all the worldly and transcendental virtuous dharmas possessed by these three vehicles are the fruits to be obtained through Shamatha and Vipassana. If all the fruits attained by the Tathagata are without outflows, why are they called worldly dharmas? The answer is: there are two kinds of worldly dharmas. The first is called worldly dharma because it is inherently with outflows. The second is called worldly dharma because it is inherently without outflows, but it is based on worldly dharmas. For example, the wisdom obtained from subsequent practice and the corresponding consciousness, etc. Therefore, the Bhagavan also possesses worldly dharmas. What kind of activities does the Bhagavan do through Shamatha and Vipassana? etc., this is the third question, which is about the exposition of the activities of Shamatha and Vipassana. This is also revealed through questions and answers. This is just a question. Sons of good family, they are liberated from these two kinds of bondage. For example, they are liberated from the bondage of signs and the bondage of evil destinies. This is the second question, which the Tathagata answered correctly. The activity of liberating from the two kinds of bondage, for example, liberating from the bondage of signs and the bondage of evil destinies. The so-called bondage of signs, some people think that it is the appearance of causes and conditions. For example, the views arising from the causes and conditions with outflows will make people lose their autonomy, so it is called the bondage of signs, because the sign itself is a kind of bondage, so it is called the bondage of signs. Some people think that the defiled mind is the nature of the bondage of signs. For example, due to the influence of the defiled mind, other eye consciousness, etc.
